All True Buddha practitioners are earnestly requested to perform the Lineage Dharma Flow Empowerment Visualization taught by Root Lineage Guru Living Buddha Liansheng before their daily practice, abiding in the purity of the lineage and receiving the blessings of the Dharma Flow, so that their daily practice never departs from the Root, loses touch with the Dharma lineage, or forgets their original aspiration.

Background
In Vajrayana Buddhism, lineage is of foremost importance. While practicing any dharmas, True Buddha practitioners should always take Root Lineage Guru Living Buddha Liansheng as their source of reliance.
On October 9, 2011, at Lian Sheng Temple in the United States, Root Lineage Guru Living Buddha Liansheng first taught the supremely precious “True Buddha School Visualization of the Lineage Dharma Flow from the Void,” enabling practitioners to purify body and mind, more easily attain spiritual union with the Root Guru, and receive the great blessings of the True Buddha lineage.
On July 6, 2026, the Dharmadhara House once again sought guidance from Guru Buddha regarding performing the Lineage Dharma Flow Empowerment Visualization before practice. Through the compassionate confirmation of Guru Buddha, the steps of the visualization were established, enabling practitioners with the appropriate affinity to connect to the pure Dharma Flow according to the prescribed method before their daily practice and to attain spiritual union with the Root Guru and the Dharma lineage.
To safeguard the continuity of the Dharma lineage, establish a stable direction for cultivation, and provide guidance for all fellow disciples, the Dharmadhara House hereby issues this announcement. All cultivation venues and True Buddha disciples everywhere are earnestly requested to implement this visualization in their daily individual and group practices.
Explanation of the Meaning of This Dharma
- The lineage is the lifeline of Vajrayana practice. In practicing any dharmas, True Buddha practitioners should rely upon Root Lineage Guru. Performing the Lineage Dharma Flow Empowerment Visualization before practice means abiding within the Dharma lineage with reverence, faith, and a pure mind.
- This visualization is not an additional procedure but an important means of settling oneself and attaining spiritual union before practice. If it is practiced consistently every day, one's faith will naturally grow stronger and one's resolve on the Way will become more steadfast, allowing body and mind to more easily enter a state of purity, concentration, and union.
- When cultivation venues in different locations conduct group practices, ceremonies, or lead fellow disciples in practice, they should remind everyone to first perform the Lineage Dharma Flow Empowerment Visualization. This helps new disciples establish the correct understanding and reminds experienced disciples not to forget the Root or depart from the lineage.
- Beginners need not become anxious if they cannot clearly visualize every detail. The essence of visualization lies in sincerity, reverence, concentration, and faith. As long as one practices according to the steps every day, the visualization will gradually become clearer, and through faith, one will naturally attain union with the Dharma Flow.
Practice Steps of the Lineage Dharma Flow Empowerment Visualization
- Before beginning practice, the practitioner first forms the Root Lineage Guru Padmakumara Mudra, settles body and mind, and visualizes sincerely as follows:
Visualize Root Lineage Guru seated above the crown of one's head. Root Lineage Guru is seated upon a great white lotus platform, with a gentle smile and a majestic Dharma appearance, compassionately embracing the practitioner.
- Visualize a moon disc above the crown of Root Lineage Guru. Within the moon disc is Padmakumara. Above that, visualize another moon disc, within which Amitabha Buddha is seated. Above that, visualize another moon disc, within which Locana is seated. Above that, visualize another moon disc, within which Mahavairocana Tathagata is seated.
- Visualize the sacred faces of Mahavairocana Tathagata, Locana, Amitabha Buddha, Padmakumara, and finally Root Lineage Guru all transforming into the face of the Root Guru. The Deities, from top to bottom, form a string of pure, luminous pearls, which ultimately enter the body of Root Lineage Guru.
- Visualize Root Lineage Guru shrinking into a luminous form the size of a grain of rice. At this moment, visualize the practitioner's heart chakra opening and transforming into a pure lotus. At the center of the lotus is a moon disc, and at the center of the moon disc is the seed syllable “Hum.” Visualize the syllable “Hum” radiating light and inviting Root Lineage Guru to enter the practitioner's body through the central channel.
- After Root Lineage Guru enters the practitioner's central channel, visualize Root Lineage Guru seated upon the moon disc within the lotus transformed from the practitioner's heart chakra. Within the moon disc, visualize Root Lineage Guru gradually becoming larger and larger until Guru's entire body is exactly the same size as the practitioner's body. In an instant, the practitioner attains spiritual union with Root Lineage Guru; body and mind become pure, and the Dharma Flow pours into the practitioner.
- The practitioner sincerely abides in this state of union, visualizing that there is no difference between oneself and Root Lineage Guru, and that one's body, speech, and mind are all embraced and blessed by Root Lineage Guru. Then, according to the sadhana of the original practice, proceed into the main practice.
A Respectful Exhortation and Heartfelt Reminder
- All True Buddha practitioners are earnestly requested to cherish the Lineage Dharma Flow Empowerment Visualization. This is not merely a written explanation; it is also the fundamental practice compassionately instructed by Guru Buddha. Before daily practice, visualize it sincerely so that body and mind may abide within the Root Lineage.
- In cultivation, one must never forget the Root because of having practiced for a long time, nor lose one's reverence because of familiarity. Regardless of how long one has practiced or how many dharmas one has learned, one should always remember that all Dharma Flow originates from Root Lineage Guru and returns to the compassionate embrace and protection of Root Lineage Guru.
- May all cultivation venues, Dharma propagating personnel, and fellow disciples everywhere jointly uphold this practice. In accordance with the teachings of Guru Buddha, may we connect to the Dharma Flow every day and remember the Root at all times, so that the pure lineage of our school may continue without interruption.
With one thought of spiritual union, the Dharma Flow arrives;
With single-minded refuge, the lineage remains unbroken.
May every True Buddha practitioner, before daily practice, use a pure mind to invite the lineage Dharma Flow into the heart, remember the compassion of Root Lineage Guru, strengthen their resolve on the Way, and walk along the path of cultivation toward luminosity, purity, and spiritual union.
May your spiritual cultivation be peaceful,
and may your resolve on the Way continue to grow.
