True Buddha Foundation Notice
Regarding the Production, Printing, and Distribution of Religious-Related Items
TBF Declaration No. 0010
Dear all cultivation venues, Dharma propagation personnel at all levels, and fellow disciples:
Recently, the True Buddha Foundation has observed that some disciples, when handling religious-related items, may be unaware of varying laws and regulatory requirements across regions, which could lead to unnecessary risks. To avoid future misunderstandings and to safeguard the overall image of the school as well as the environment for Dharma propagation, we would like to offer the following reminders for your attention:
- The school has always upheld the principles of respecting local laws, acting in accordance with regulations, refraining from involvement in politics, and promoting the Dharma in a steady and prudent manner. For any religious-related items—such as logos, printed materials, promotional materials, ritual items, or any objects that may be associated with the school or its venues—please exercise extra caution when producing, printing, shipping, transshipping, or engaging in cross-border circulation.
- Please note that without explicit approval from the True Buddha Foundation or the relevant authorized bodies, individuals should not independently handle the customization, printing, shipping, import, or export of religious-related items under the name of the school, cultivation venues, Dharma propagation personnel, or related entities, particularly in regions with more sensitive regulations. Even if done with good intentions, improper handling may lead to misunderstandings or unnecessary legal or administrative issues.
- If items are needed for personal use—such as production, procurement, printing, or shipping—please first familiarize yourself with local regulations. In particular, when the content, purpose, quantity, destination, or context of use may be interpreted as related to religious activities, religious items, religious promotion, or school identification, extra caution should be exercised, and one should not make unilateral decisions.
- It is especially important to ensure that personal actions are not misconstrued as being authorized, arranged, or endorsed by the school. Any matters involving the school’s name, logos, lineage symbols, ritual usage, or anything that could be associated with the school’s position should be handled with great care to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.
- If you encounter any uncertain situations—especially those involving sensitive regions, special shipping arrangements, religious printed content, or the use of the school’s name or logos—it is recommended to first consult with the True Buddha Foundation or the appropriate contact point for confirmation before proceeding. Asking one more question in advance can often prevent many complications later.
- The True Buddha Foundation sincerely reminds everyone that maintaining the school’s reputation and the Dharma propagation environment requires collective effort. Many issues may not arise from ill intent, but if handled improperly, they may still lead to unnecessary risks. We hope everyone will adopt a cautious and prudent approach to help safeguard the overall stability and purity of the school.
Please kindly circulate this notice to relevant personnel for compliance and attention.
Best regards,
True Buddha Foundation Supervisory Department
