Based on the repentance letter that Master Allen Hou (Shi Lian Jie，釋蓮戒上師) sent to the True Buddha School Root Guru, Grand Master Sheng-yen Lu and the resignation letter that he sent to the True Buddha Foundation, it was confirmed that he has indeed breached the Dharma Ethics; that he has practiced other dharmas and abandoned the True Buddha Lineage.
On August 22, 2006, in the Sixth Grand True Buddha Masters Meeting of True Buddha Foundation, it was decided that Allen Hou (Lian Jie，蓮戒) is no longer a True Buddha School master and Waken Ray Temple (Wei Guang Lei Zang Si，威光雷藏寺) in Los Angeles is no longer recognized as a True Buddha School temple.
