On Nov. 15, 2015, H.H. Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu and Shimu Lianxiang had dinner with Shimu's family of more than 50 individuals.
On the first day upon their return to Taiwan after being apart for half a year, Shimu's family specifically selected an extraordinarily fine Japanese restaurant in Taichung serving delectable dishes for a welcome dinner for Grandmaster and Shimu.

Family gatherings are always filled with a warm and happy atmosphere with everyone chatting and catching up with each other. Looking extremely high spirited with a tinge of ruddiness in their complexion, Grandmaster and Shimu's conversations with their family members were endless and carried a sense of longingness.

Throughout her life, Shimu has dedicated herself fully to the True Buddha School,and rarely had time for family gatherings.
In addition to placing great importance on family solidarity Shimu's family, along with their close friends, have also been quite supportive of her career and her devotion of her life to propagating the dharma for the benefit of sentient beings. As a result, Shimu's family members have gained great meritorious rewards and career achievements. In fact, Shimu's eldest sister-in-law is a faithful disciple of the True Buddha School who has gained comparable meritorious rewards. According to Grandmaster, she recites the High King Avalokitesvara sutra daily and sleeps peacefully at night. Her appearance radiates a sense of longevity.

As a matter of fact, owing to such a united and perfect family upbringing, Shimu exudes wisdom and high moral virtues, both inwardly as a person and outwardly in appearance.
