Dec. 2, 2015, 2:45pm Shi Lianxin / Master Liu Wenqing passed away peacefully
and was delivered by the Buddha and reborn in the Pure Land!

The late Master Lianxin was a familiar face among disciples of the older generation of the True Buddha School. This was because during its formative years when the True Buddha School was founded in Taiwan, Master Shi Lianxin (Liu Wenqing) served as the Secretary-General as well as the Chairman of the Taiwan Lei Tsang Temple Construction Committee. Additionally, he served two terms, a total of four years, as President of the Federation of True Buddha School Taiwan and China. In this capacity, he not only contributed his time and provided financial assistance, he also played a pivotal role in uniting more than ten local TBS chapters to actively work together to raise funds for the construction of Taiwan Lei Tsang Temple.

As the Lotus Light Charity Society had not yet been established, he formed the ''Collective Merits Society'' in order to consolidate the greatest amount of power for the purpose of temple construction. Master Lianxin explained that he undertook the difficult task of constructing Taiwan Lei Tsang Temple, Taiwan's largest temple, because the Root Guru gave him instructions that ''you have been assigned by Shakyamuni Buddha to build the Taiwan Lei Tsang Temple.'' Hence, he proceeded wholeheartedly without the slightest hesitation. Living Buddha Lian-sheng and Shimu Lianxiang have also often mentioned that this extremely sincere and purely faithful disciple frequently made offerings and performed almsgiving. This outstanding fellow disciple dedicated himself to the best of his ability to the True Buddha School, and for that reason he is a role model for all of us!

When Master Lianchuan recently informed us of the health condition of her late father, Master Lianxin, Living Buddha Lian-sheng knew in his heart that fellow disciple Master Lianxin's life would soon end. On the evening of November 30, accompanied by Shimu Lianxiang and many other Masters, Reverends etc., Living Buddha Lian-sheng personally went to the hospital to visit and care for him.

Living Buddha Lian-sheng also performed for Master Lianxin a most extraordinary Vajrayana deliverance method known as the ''Light Consciousness Transference Dharma.'' As Living Buddha Lian-sheng performed this dharma technique Master Lianxin was calmly and peacefully laying on the bed with a tinge of rosiness in his cheeks. Clearly, the meritorious rewards associated with ''being respectful of one's teachers,'' ''making offerings,'' ''being protective and supportive,'' and ''cultivating the dharma'' are visible during life's final moments, and they allow for the drawing of the most perfect conclusion to one's life.

On the 2nd of December, at 2:45pm, Shi Lianxin / Master Liu Wenqing passed away peacefully and he was delivered by the Buddha and reborn in the Pure Land!

In fact, long before Master Lianxin's passing away, in the early hours of the morning, Living Buddha Lian-sheng had already notified Shimu that, ''Master Lianxin's time is up!''

As Master Lianchuan reminded her father, ''It's time to move on from the 'worldly house,' as it is no longer fit and healthy, to the Buddha's Pure Land, which is a far, far better place.''

We sincerely send Vajra Master Shi Lianxin our best wishes and pay our utmost respect! We greatly applaud Master Shi Lianxin for his contributions to the True Buddha School over the course of his lifetime.

Master Lianxin, your Four Immeasurables' mind dedication will eternally be recorded in the historical accounts of the True Buddha School and will be passed on from one generation to the next …
