True Buddha Foundation (TBF) is initiating a Worldwide Mantra Recitation for Buddha to Stay in the World activity to eradicate obstacles to Grandmaster's longevity and pray for buddha to stay in the world.

This Worldwide Mantra Recitation for Buddha to Stay in the World activity launched by TBF involves first reciting the Root Lineage Guru Mantra followed by recitation of the Amitayus Mantra. One recites the Guru Mantra first to strengthen the lineage and demonstrate that one does not forget the root. After the mantra recitation, one wholeheartedly dedicates the merit to Living Buddha Lian-sheng for his health, longevity, non-hindrance, greatly turning the dharma wheel, and saving sentient beings.

The complete Buddha-to-stay-in-the-world Amitayus Mantra is: ''Om. gu-ru, lian-sheng, sid-dhi, hum, om, ah-ma-re-ni, zu-wen-di-ye, so-ha.''

Grandmaster has repeatedly reminded disciples that his life will not last long. He is not saying that he will soon manifest impermanence. Rather, he is reminding disciples that ''when the great sun is gone, will there still be light in space?'' The life of an accomplished holy practitioner is omnipresent and unhindered.

For what purpose do we pray that Grandmaster will stay in the bitter saha world, turning the dharma wheel through every hardship and saving sentient beings? Grandmaster has previously discoursed that his purpose in spreading Buddhadharma and turning the dharma wheel in his lifetime is to wake up disciples and all sentient beings and light the lamp within their heart. He hopes that True Buddha cultivation venues will unify compassion and wisdom and become bright and holy realms conducive to genuine cultivation. Moreover, Grandmaster seeks to transform the saha world into a loving and peaceful pure land.

Starting from this very moment and continuing all the way to Grandmaster's birthday next year, let's recite the Amitayus Mantra together billions of times and unitedly dedicate the merit of recitation to buddha staying in the world and abiding in our hearts forever.
