True Buddha School Masters in Indonesia Will Jointly Lead Recitation of The Disaster Relief Mantra and Dedicate the Merit to the Successful Relief Efforts of The Lotus Light Society in the Deadly Eruption Disaster Area of Mount Semeru in East Java, Indonesia

On the afternoon of December 4, 2021, Mount Semeru volcano in East Java Province, Indonesia suddenly erupted. Towering smoke and columns of volcanic ash blanketed nearby villages. The area was plunged into darkness as ash clouds became so dense that all sunlight was blocked.

Some 1,300 local residents have been evacuated to temporary shelters. Under harsh weather conditions, search and rescue teams are working with utmost urgency to rescue victims still trapped under mud and debris. Indonesia now needs everyone’s prayers to overcome this disaster.

In response to this crisis, the True Buddha Foundation, along with TBS Masters in Indonesia, will lead Indonesia and worldwide disciples in the recitation of the Disaster Relief Mantra. With Grandmaster’s powerful blessings, the merit of the recitations will be dedicated to the smooth operation of search and rescue efforts. We pray that residents who have fled to safety will receive the best care, that they will promptly rebuild their homes, that those who have suffered injuries will receive the best treatment and have a speedy recovery, and that those who have passed away will be delivered to the pure land.
