The Exceptional Merits of Mahasthamaprapta [known as Dashizhi in Chinese] Bodhisattva
His Holiness Living Buddha Liansheng has taught:
What is "Mahasthama" [Dashi, meaning "Great Power"]? When one practices the Principal Deity Practice of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva and attains spiritual union with the deity, one will receive the Bodhisattva's blessings, thereby gaining worldly authority and influence. If one aspires to advancement in one's career or positions of leadership, such as governor, senator, representative, vice president, or president, one should practice the Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva Principal Deity Practice. Through diligent cultivation, one can also transcend the cycle of rebirth within the six realms and be reborn in a pure land.
When one focuses wholeheartedly on Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, one will receive the Bodhisattva's wisdom vision and enlightened insight, developing great wisdom, great intelligence, and great authority. Because Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva also embodies joyful generosity, those who attain power should use it gladly in service of sentient beings, extending equal compassion and salvation regardless of personal relationship, social status, or background. One may even inspire countless beings to journey together toward rebirth in the pure land.
This is a rare and precious Dharma affinity. Through sincere practice of the Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva Principal Deity Practice, one may gain influence and authority, receive deliverance, and ultimately be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss at life's end.
May everyone seize this exceptional opportunity, attend this grand event, benefit themselves and others, and attain perfect bodhi.
We warmly invite devotees and well-wishers from all walks of life to participate in this auspicious gathering, bathe in Buddha's light, pray for the eradication of calamities and the bestowal of blessings for the living, and dedicate merits toward the deliverance of ancestors and departed spirits so that they may be reborn in the pure land. May both the living and the deceased benefit alike, and may all enjoy peace, auspiciousness, and wish-fulfillment.
