【Medicine King Tara Mudra :】
Interlace the fingers of both hands inwards; place the middle fingers upright touching and point the index fingers apart. Touch the thumbs lightly against the middle fingers. (hold the mudra in front of your chest)

【Medicine King Tara Dharmalakṣaṇa Brief Introduction】
Body color: yellow (with a hint of green)
Dharma implements: The right hand forms the Abhaya Mudra, while the left hand holds a lotus bearing a vase of nectar containing Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), the same herb as that held in the right hand of the Medicine Buddha, radiating a light like nectar that eliminates all diseases of sentient beings.
Offering: five-flavored medicinal herbs.
Visualization Ritual (Mantra, Mudra, Seed Syllable)
Mudra: Same as the Green Tara Mudra.
Seed Syllable: “Dang” in yellow color.
【Living Buddha Liansheng Sheng-yen Lu Dharma Discourse - Medicine King Tara Background and Key Cultivation Formula】
The Medicine King Tara is an emanation of Green Tara, Bodhisattva Tara herself. She specializes in rescuing sentient beings from the suffering of illness. Her very act of saving beings is like bestowing the finest nectar, through which their sicknesses are eliminated. Practitioners should, with pure faith, pray to Medicine King Tara to grant this nectar and relieve beings of their suffering from illness.
Reciting Medicine King Tara’s heart mantra provides protection from contagious diseases, as well as all illnesses and epidemics.
