TBF-DA Decl. No. 016
Supplementary Clarification on the Wine-Offering Procedure Following the Zashi Lhamo Practice
Subject:
This Notice Hereby Announces the Correct Procedural Steps for the Wine Offering Performed After the Practice of True Buddha School Zashi Lhamo, as Detailed below.
According to the instructions transmitted by the Lineage Root Guru, the specific steps for the post-practice wine offering are as follows:
Prepare three sets of three cups of white liquor. In a circular manner, pour the liquor from each cup onto the ground. For each of the three cups, repeat this circular motion (pouring the liquor in a circle) while reciting in Taiwanese:
“Gan-tsinn-gan-hoo-inn-inn, hoo-li-kin-ni-tua-than-tsinn.” (Money turns and circulates smoothly, bringing you great wealth this year!)
For each practice session, prepare nine cups of white liquor in advance, symbolizing three rounds of wine offering. After completing the practice, pour the liquor in front of the image or statue of Zashi Lhamo. If the altar setting is not suitable for pouring liquid, a container may be used to collect the liquor. Hold the cup and pour the liquor in a clockwise circular manner while reciting in Taiwanese:
“Gan-tsinn-gan-hoo-inn-inn, hoo-li-kin-ni-tua-than-tsinn.” (Money turns and circulates smoothly, bringing you great wealth this year!) or
“Gan-tsinn-gan-hoo-inn-inn, hoo-gua-kin-ni-tua-than-tsinn.” (Money turns and circulates smoothly, bringing me great wealth this year!)
Note: The chant may also be recited using Chinese pronunciation, “Gan-qian-gan-hu-yuan-yuan, gei-ni (or wo)-jin-nian-da-zhuan-qian.”
This announcement is issued to ensure the correctness of the practice. All cultivation venues and practitioners are respectfully requested to follow these guidelines in their practice, so as to attain enlightenment together.
Best regards,
True Buddha Foundation
