2022 True Buddha School Senior Reverend Selection Announcement

Following a discussion outlining the standard operating procedure (SOP) of True Buddha School (TBS) senior reverend selection at the Jan. 19, 2022 True Buddha Foundation (TBF) Core Committee Conference, the following resolution was adopted: TBF will conduct selection of TBS senior reverends in 2022.
  1. Application Deadline: Now until Apr. 22, 2022 Seattle time. Applications will not be accepted after this date.
  2. Application Method:
    1. If there is a local TBS Vajrayana Association or Vajrayana Buddhist Council (Taiwan, Malaysia & Indonesia), applicants should mail all required application documentation to the local Vajrayana Association/Vajrayana Buddhist Council prior to April 15. The local Vajrayana Association/ Vajrayana Buddhist Council will assist in collecting and submitting application documentation to TBF.
    2. In the absence of a local Vajrayana Association/Vajrayana Buddhist Council, a letter of recommendation issued by a local Vajrayana Association/Vajrayana Buddhist Council is not required. Applicants should mail all required application documentation directly to TBF no later than Apr. 22. Applications will not be accepted after this date. Note: Reverends who have already submitted an application should also complete this form: https://forms.gle/KebowTGn4AJkoQ8H6.
  3. Selection Method and Date: Beginning July 9, 2022, selection interviews will be conducted online. Interview dates will be scheduled and announced based on candidate time zone/geographic region.
  4. For questions regarding selection criteria, submission of documentation, scope of the examination, scoring weight, and senior reverend duties and code of conduct, applicants should refer to the True Buddha School Senior Reverend Selection Guidelines for 2022.
  5. The True Buddha School Senior Reverend Selection Guidelines for 2022, senior reverend application forms, application documentation self checklist, and Attachments I to IV, can be downloaded here: /download/index.html. The QR Code for the download site is also available below.
  6. Applicants must register to attend the
    True Buddha Dharma School 2022 Training Course for Ordained Sangha organized by the TBF Education Department.
    Note: The TBF Education Department will make further announcements regarding the Training Course for Ordained Sangha.
