Grand Master, the Living Buddha Lian-Sheng, conducted the unique Yellow Jambhala Deity Homa ceremony

On October 4th, 2009, Sunday, at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon, Grand Master conducted a unique Homa ceremony of Namo Yellow Jambhala or the Yellow Deity of Wealth along with the empowerment of refuge and yoga practice thereof.

On that day, the blazing sun gleamed over everything below. The disciples of the four groups had come far from abroad to participate in and uphold the Grand Master`s Homa ceremony.

When Grand Master ignited the Homa fire, the vigorous sound of the mantra, ``Om Jambhala Dsalendraya, Svaha`` reverberated throughout the entire ceremonial hall, reaching up to the heavenly expanse of Dharma Realms. On that day, the Rainbow Temple was also equipped with a simulcast and real-time audio/video system that broadcasted the event live via the internet. The ceremony was attended by numerous local and out-of-bounds fellow devotees and disciples who were able to partake of and watch the ceremony alive in and out of Grand Master`s physical presence. Simultaneously, everyone attuned to the jig of the blazing Homa fire and the presiding Homa deity, Yellow Jambhala. During the dedication of merits, Grand Master wholeheartedly implored Namo Yellow Jambhala to bless all the registered followers that they have their wishes fulfilled, prosperity and wisdom enhanced, diseases of Karma eliminated, all calamities eradicated, venerated love appeased, all grudging enemies banished, and have the disembodied spirits delivered to the Pure Land of Buddhas at the power of the Five Buddhas. All inclusive were auspicious and appeased.

After the Homa ceremony ended, Grand Master asserted the reason why Yellow Jambhala Deity Homa was conducted: being that under the onslaught of the current global economic breakdown, all business establishments are suffering losses and numerous fellow devotees were hence rendered jobless to this day; hoping that this Homa ceremony would revive the world economy and all the jobless devotees shall become employed again. Grand Master said that as soon as he sat down (at the Homa Mandala shrine), the Principal Deity, Yellow Jambhala had already descended upon the Homa Mandala shrine, and that during the process of the Homa ceremony, Yellow Jambhala had descended several times to receive the offerings. Grand Master further said that the wealthiest deities in the heavenly realms are the Four Kings of Four Heavenly Realms (Four Kings of Dharma Protectors), Sea Dragon King of the Sea, Mountain God of the Earth and Prvithi - the Earth Devi. All their Dharma powers are mighty in expelling evils; the Four Kings of Dharma Protectors are also guardians of Buddhas.

Next, Grand Master continued on with his exposition on the book, ``Emptiness within Great Bliss`` per Shri Hevajra: ``The eight luminous energy drops of Hevajra becomes eight great female consorts (八大明妃), where the character 明 denotes luminosity and 妃 denotes enhancement of wisdom. The eye of Hevajra becomes a white, delusive Vajra-mother; the ear becomes a blue, angry Vajra-mother; the nose becomes a yellow, penurious Vajra-mother; the mouth becomes a red, avaricious Vajra-mother; the forehead becomes a green, envious Vajra-mother; the heart becomes a principal deity of black and Self-less Mother; the HUM Pali character atop the head becomes a white Vajra-mother; the AH Pali character at the throat becomes a red-speech Vajra-deity; the HUM Pali character at the heart becomes a black-intent Vajra-deity. Inasmuch as the Self-less Mother with the eight great consorts each of whom has one face and two arms; each left hand holds a implement of a curved knife and an inverted skullcap in the right hand; a Dharma-wand is wedged between the deity and a platform of human corps. She dances in half lotus posture majestically. This demeanor is capable of eliminating the habitual aberration of transformation-birth. If the transformation-birth was also eliminated entirely, then one can attain to the Buddha Realm.``

The compassionate Grand Master elaborated further: Tantra practices require firm belief in the Buddha and Dharma but not the corporeal manifestation (of Grand Master). Since Grand Master will one day leave the human existence behind and that when the Buddha was about to enter Parinirvana state, he counselled his disciples to follow the code of precepts as one`s personal ``teacher``, therefore Grand Master also expected that every devotee and disciple to follow True Buddha School`s code of precepts, cultivate Tantra practices of True Buddha School and wear the Root Guru atop one`s head (figuratively speaking) as a way of taking spiritual refuge. Moreover, the practitioner must also honor the root lineage, the Root Guru and not to believe in ``him`` (denotes Grand Master`s physical body); have faith in the Buddha`s code of precepts and his Dharma discourses. As long as one observes the code of precepts, develops Samadhibala or ability to overcome distraction and develops wisdom, one can thus eliminate habitual aberrations, the Four Modes of Birth and the Six Realms of Mundanity such that the attainment of fruition is certain.

After the Dharma assembly ended, the devotees entertained Grand Master with rehearsed performances as a way to express deep gratitude for his compassionate and unbiased redemption of sentient beings; for his determination not to leave out a single sentient being; and, for the limitless grace imparted to sentient beings at his mercy. At last, Grand Master bless empowered the attending followers with performance of his vigorously splendid Tai Chi Boxing.
