``Being innately pure and seek Buddha-nature; True Buddha Tantra Dharmas are of the Sudden Enlighten

October 31, 2009, Saturday, happened to be Halloween. Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple, with overhanging colorful lights, had unexpectedly been visited by lot of ``uninvited guests.`` Among them were the ``Lady of the Victorian Era``, ``Fragrant Mistress of Tibet``, the ``Not-So-Luminous Queen of Peacock``, ``Fox-Fairy of Malaysia`` and the ``Seattle`s Locally Bred Owl``, etc. These people with the Halloween makeups and costumes brought marvel and rejoice to fellow devotees and Grand Master, thereby turned the venue into a ``Party of the Centruy`` beyond space and time.

The evening group cultivation was led by Acharya Master Lian-Yin featuring Cundi Buddhadevi Principal Deity Yoga. After the group cultivation, an exposition was given by Dharma Instructor Lian-Sing in English (translated into Chinese by Lian-Jin). She sincerely thanked her family members and other people who encouraged and supported her in taking ordination in monkhood, and she wished all have a happy Halloween festival.

Acharya Master Lian-Yin praised Grand Master`s magnanimous dignity and appealed to all True Buddha devotees to concern themselves with Grand Master`s health; not to overburden Grand Master with excessive work. For instance, after and before a homa ceremony at Rainbow Temple, please exercise due respect not to beseech Grand Master for casual spiritual consultation, blessing or empowerment; also not to ask Grand Master to pose for casual photo shots; try to abide by the rules of Tantrayana, especially not to walk directly behind Grand Master (so as to avoid stepping over His shadow cast by the sun or an overhead lamp). Even more importantly, not to annoy Grand Master with one`s personal problem over one`s discord with others, thus demonstrating one`s true heartfelt care for the Grand Master.

Next, Grand Master continued on with his discourse on ``The Altar Sutra as Spoken by the Sixth Partriach``,``Learned Audience, without enlightenment there would be no differende between a Buddha and other living beings; while a gleam of enlightenment is enough to make any living being the equal of a Buddha. Since all Dharmas are immanent in our mind, there is no reason why we should realize intuitively the real nature of Tathata (Suchness). The Boddhisattva Sila Sutra says, `Our Essence of Mind is intrinsically pure, and if we knew our mind and realized what our nature is, all of us would attain Buddhahood.` As the Vimalakirti Nirdesa Sutra says, `At once they became enlightened and regain their own mind`.``

Grand Master elaborated: if a spiritual practitioner was to purify the mind, one would have to be rid of all defilements. As a human being, one needs to live simple in all respects; knowing more would bring more vexation. This society is a melting pot of all sorts of cultural ethos. Not everything needs to be known; in fact, knowing too much would bring more mental contamination. As a spiritual practitioner, one should seek purity and equanimity so as to find the pure and innate Essence of Mind and consequently attain enlightenment. Grand Master further said, ``I pursue virtually nothing in this world; only by being pursuit-less can one attain enlightenment; only by being pursuit-less can one become pure at heart.`` The outstanding feature of True Buddha School is to consolidate complex sadhanas (methods) of Tantrayana into one Sudden Realization sadhana (method); to consolidate multiple minds into one mind; and to consolidate multiple delusive thoughts into one thought. The lineage of True Buddha School is an integration all our preceding patriarchs over the past 2500 years, which then transforms into a symbolic seven-color lineage legacy that empowers every True Buddha devotee personally.

After the dharma discourse, the compassionate Grand Master then sanctified Buddha statues and effigies, blessed the Great Compassion Dharani water, and bestowed Refuge Empowerment upon new initiates. Grand Master even bless empowered all fellow devotees by palming their heads. All have faithfully accepted and committed to implement the teachings by the Master and have departed blissful of dharma.
