Hafa Adai! Sunshine, sandy beach, and vacation, this is the first impression people have for Guam. On May 4, 2014, Living Buddha Lian-Sheng, the King of Dharma Sheng-Yen Lu, and his followers had finally arrived in Guam, a territory of the United States.
After six months of planning and preparation from Reverend Lian-Tao from the Complete Enlightenment Temple of True Buddha School, Dharma Sister Cheng Yi, General Manager of Pacific Islands Club (PIC) Guam, Dharma Sister Hsiu-Chin, and Dharma Brother Wang Tsu-Chu, Public Relation of Taiwan Lei-Tsang Temple, the「 Guam Dharma Propagation Trip」 finally came to reality. The trip brought the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng to this warmth, freedom, and beautiful tropical island once again and would bring blessing of good fortune to this land.

After lunch, the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng started the first stop of the Guam Dharma Propagation Trip. A press conference with Master Lian-Ning conducted a live translation.
According to Dharma Brother Wang Tsu-Chu, this is the True Buddha School first ever press conference for His Holiness Living Buddha Lian-Sheng, the King of Dharma Sheng-Yen Lu to meet the foreign reporters.

There were many news organizations including KUAM News, Guam Pacific Daily News, Mariana Variety Guam, and Guam Oversea Chinese Magazine etc., attended the one hour long press conference. During the press conference the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng looked and acted very relax and had replied questions readily and fluently with occasional question answers without need for translation. The kind and gentle style of the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng with extraordinary style of conversation inspired reporters with spontaneous ideas and allowed reporters the opportunity to ask questions in their mind. Many reporters were laughing out loud from the humorous talk of the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng which made it a harmonious and successful press conference.

During the interview, when the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng talked about 「 Zen」, which means not to be disturbed by external environment, as what the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng had come across to everyone was full of wisdom and detachment.

A reporter asked: ’ You described 「 Zen」 as to not be influenced by the external environment. May I ask Grand Master Lu whether you have seen the beautiful weather today? ’

The King of Dharma Lian-Sheng answered: ’ My eyes did see a beautiful weather with warmth sunshine today but my mind was untouched.’

After silence for a few seconds as reporters seem to have some comprehension and a hearty round of applause can be heard in the press conference.

Master Lian-Ning had taken the responsibility to perform live translation for His Holiness Living Buddha Lian-Sheng, the King of Dharma Sheng-Yen Lu in the press conference. Master Lian-Ning instantaneously translated key points of the answers of the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng and he explained the profound in simple terms so all foreign reporters can have a better understanding of the True Buddha School and the King of Dharma Lian-Sheng ’ s desire of passing on Buddhist doctrines to all disciples.
All press conference attendees were admired and affirmed to the language skill and wisdom in comprehension of True Buddha Tantra of Master Lian-Ning. The performance of Master Lian-Ning showed a great number of competent people with great ability in the True Buddha School.
