“Interaction is Power!” -
- Remembering the first Guru-Disciples interaction on webcast on April 11, 2020


When Grandmaster first discoursed via webcast last week, one of his numerous memorable statements was, “Although I cannot see you, all of you can see me.”

For a moment, we were sad, and we wished wholeheartedly that Grandmaster could see us!

Grandmaster also said, “Interaction is power!” Hence, TBSN decided to enhance the Guru-Disciples interaction with an initiative, so that Grandmaster could feel the disciples’ passion and respect for him.

That was the beginning of the affinity of the initiative, the “Interaction is Power” series. When the announcement was first made, disciples swarmed the Facebook platform with so many questions that this writer could not help but feel astounded, “Did everyone keep their questions to themselves for such a long time?”

Grandmaster has been delivering sentient beings for more than 40 years now. Therefore, the questions that came in were varied as they were from disciples from all levels of spiritual cultivation. It was difficult to pick the representative ones. Everyone was very patient in waiting for the fielding of questions by Grandmaster.

On April 11, 2020, during the webcast of the dharma discourse at Seattle Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple, Grandmaster first greeted everyone and opened the floor by saying, “During this question-and-answer (Q&A) session, I will field the questions that webcast viewers have. This is interaction, and interaction is power. There will be interaction between us.” A sense of happiness in the disciples was palpable.

After setting the stage with the objective of the Q&A session, Grandmaster then went through the questions and answered them in detail. He also shared the important pith instructions in spiritual cultivation. One could not help but clap and admire Grandmaster from the bottom of one’s heart.

This writer believes that even for disciples with higher levels of spiritual cultivation, the session would provide insights on some blind spots and answer some burning questions. The whole Q&A session was therefore beneficial to everyone in terms of the Buddha-dharma; no amount of words could express the gratitude that everyone had. The number of people tuning in to the webcast also scored a new high – as many as more than 3,000 checked in!

To disciples residing faraway, Grandmaster’s responses were the greatest blessings ever. Some disciples may not have personally seen Grandmaster before. To be able to have Grandmaster attending to their questions in person was deeply touching.

This Q&A session could be likened to the old days of the Buddha, during which disciples were able to receive the teachings from their Guru personally. It was happiness! During this Q&A interaction, the hearts of the Root Guru and disciples were connected in a manner that transcends time!

We are grateful for Grandmaster’s precious dharma discourse and interaction. Let us sincerely pray for the health of Grandmaster. Let us also pray that the webcast initiative will be smoothly executed at all times, and that sentient beings will be delivered on a large scale.
