On Nov. 16, 2014, Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu arrived Taiwan to begin a series of events promoting the Buddhadharma. Over 1000 devotees crowded into Taoyuan International Airport to welcome his arrival. It was a scene of great energy and anticipation.

On Nov. 16, 2014, Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu, the founder of ''True Buddha School,'' arrived in Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport at 5:00 AM. He flew in from Seattle, USA on Eva Airlines.

A crowd of over 1000 devotees crammed into the airport. A large number of security guards were on hand to guide them into two long and orderly lines of ''human dragons'' down both sides of the bustling terminal. The welcoming scene was immense and rarely seen.

The virtuous devotees and disciples had gathered from many different places that some had even flown in from Hong Kong two days earlier. Some, driving from the south or north end of Taiwan, had been waiting at the airport since 12:00 AM. They were all excited to welcome Living Buddha Lian-sheng's arrival.

The moment Living Buddha Lian-sheng appeared in the arrival hall, the crowd immediately burst out in resounding cheers. High-spirited devotees and disciples from all over exuberantly called out to Living Buddha Lian-sheng, ''Grandmaster, I love you; Grandmaster, I missed you so much... .''

Living Buddha Lian-sheng then agreed to be interviewed by the major Taiwan media in the ''VIP Room.'' Regarding his feeling about this promoting Buddhadharma in Taiwan, Living Buddha Lian Sheng expressed that the enthusiasm of so many disciples is his major motivation and this is what enables him to endure the tiring journey back and forth between Taiwan and Seattle every half year.

For this half year in Taiwan, He will preside over a homa ceremony every Saturday afternoon at Lei Tsang Temple in Nantou. The first homa ceremony this coming Saturday is ''Golden Mother of the Jade Pond Homa Ceremony.'' At a later time, he will transmit the empowerments of ''Adibuddha,'' ''Mahamaya,'' ''Tiger Head Vajra,'' and more. At each dharma ceremony, he will pray to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to bless the country to be prosperous and the people to be secure, happy, and wealthy.

During the interview, a reporter raised a question to Living Buddha Lian-sheng about his viewpoint regarding recent Taiwan ''food safety scandal'' that has seriously affected the originally good reputation of Taiwan Gourmet as well as the tourism industry.

Living Buddha Lian-sheng directly pointed out that the key cause of the ''food safety scandal'' comes from the ''education'' problem in Taiwan. The importance of morality and conscience cannot be neglected. The intuitive ability to know right from wrong must be cultivated from a young age. Living Buddha Lian Sheng is looking forward to a time when the country and the people will work together to spread ''conscience education'' at all levels of society.

A reporter asked, ''In regards to the election in Taiwan this year, what is Living Buddha Lian Sheng's response to media comments and public opinion?''

Living Buddha Lian-sheng declared first that he does not participate in politics, and neither does the True Buddha School. During the election campaign, conflicts are unavoidable. However, to a practitioner, it is only a worldly phenomenon. Hopefully it will be the ''election of the good and the capable,'' not just the election of a party.

The ideal of Living Buddha Lian-sheng is to have a united government served only by the capable. People should have the ability to judge and elect the good and talented candidates. This is the way to implement a workable city, please the people, and establish a prosperous Taiwan.

Another reporter asked, ''Earlier this year, Living Buddha Lian-sheng foretold that the score for Taiwan's economy of 2014 was around 40. Would you please forecast Taiwan's 2015 economy? What will be the score?''

Living Buddha Lian-sheng replied, ''At the end of 2013 I forecasted that in 2014 the world would have to face partial war and an epidemic disease. It has now been proved that both war and disease have occurred. I foresee that the score for next year's economy is slightly higher-60, somewhat better than this year.''

Reporter asked, why has ''Mahamaya (Da Huan Hua Wang) Vajra'' been selected as the deity of the ceremony in March, 2015?

Living Buddha Lian-sheng explained, ''Mahamaya Vajra'' is a transformation of the primordial Buddha ''Samantabhadra Tathagata,'' also called the ''Adi Buddha.'' ''Mahamaya'' is like a massive net which catches everything and is able to save more sentient beings. My hope is that it will subjugate disasters of earth, water, fire and wind... .

Immediately after the press conference, without any rest, Living Buddha Lian-sheng, continued to compassionately bless the entire devout crowd welcoming him at the airport by laying his hand on the top of everyone's head one by one. The devout crowd expressed words of endearment and exchanged mutual good wishes with Grandmaster, Living Buddha Lian-sheng who returned his regards while waving his hand to devotees outside the window of the tour bus taking Grandmaster to a subway station... .

The meeting of eyes between Grandmaster and his disciples revealed how wholeheartedly they had missed each other. Let's quietly look forward to meeting each other again at ''Golden Mother of the Jade Pond Ceremony'' held at ''Lei Tsang Temple'' this coming Saturday.

Although it had been raining in Taiwan for a few days, today, as Living Buddha Lian-sheng set foot on the land of Taiwan, his home and country, the sky above Taiwan turned azure, with white celebrating clouds spreading everywhere as if ''Welcoming Buddha with Washed Mountain.'' Today's sunrise seemed to emit incomparably brilliant and extensive rays, happiness and auspiciousness.
