Disciples may begin chanting the Mahabala mantra and performing the ''Mahabala Ghost Prohibiting Practice'' immediately after mailing the request letter for mantra chanting empowerment
【Seattle Reply Center】
Mahabala is one of the Herukas who has vowed to protect the True Buddha School (TBS). Mahabala, a ''precept Vajra,'' is unique to TBS. To uphold the teaching of H.H. Living Buddha Lian-sheng to ''honor the Root Guru, treasure the dharma, and practice diligently,'' TBF has called on Lei Tsang temples, chapters, cultivation venues, and other organizations to mail requests for empowerment of Mahabala mantra chanting (which includes empowerment for the Mahabala Ghost Prohibiting Practice) to the TBF as Living Buddha Lian-sheng has transmitted Mahabala Ghost Prohibiting Practice.
On a daily basis letters from around the world have been pouring into the TBF reply center like a snowstorm. This has lead to a significant increase in the reply center's workload. Letters received at the reply center mainly seek blessings for purification (for those who have broken precepts or lack faith) or empowerment for mantra chanting (Mahabala mantra chanting and Ghost Prohibiting Practice.) There are also requests for repentance for mistakenly believing lies and hearsay or for worshipping ghosts and spirits.
The main task of the reply center is replying to letters. However, miscellaneous tasks associated with providing a response to letters must also be taken care of, such as preparation for mailing, stamping envelopes, folding letters, drawing talismans, archiving, record-keeping, issuing refuge certificates etc.
Although responding to letters is no easy task, all the dharma propagating personnel engaged in tathagata undertakings at the reply center have come to realize that the task of responding to letters is truly a ''sweet burden.'' This is because many letters received at the center reflect the self-awareness, repentance, sincerity and dharma appreciation of those who write in. As a result, reply center personnel energetically carry out their daily workload and diligently fulfill their obligations.
H.H. Living Buddha Lian-sheng is present in the reply center on a daily basis, providing clarification of key points and blessing the letters. H.H. displays mercy and compassion while embracing the spirit of ''leaving no one behind'' towards all sentient beings. H.H. once mentioned that the reply center is ''like an enormous dharma boat, wielding its oar for the salvation of sentient beings.''
Every day, without fail, a new bag of letters from disciples arrives at the reply center and this goes on perpetually. The host of problems and issues faced by disciples are so immense that they could be loaded onto a train. One can imagine how arduous the work of the reply center really is.
The reply center will continue to protect the True Buddha family and address all issues and concerns. The center hopes that each letter writer will receive a satisfactory answer. However, due to the overwhelming number of letters it has been receiving, the reply center hereby announces that:
Regarding letters requesting empowerment for mantra chanting (Mahabala mantra chanting and Mahabala Ghost Prohibiting Practice), the sender may immediately begin Mahabala mantra chanting after mailing the letter requesting the empowerment.
Everyone is welcome to jointly protect and support the lineage of True Buddha School:
*The great True Buddha School lineage dharma protector, Mahabala, giving protection to TBS.
Worldwide energy collection of mantra chanting has kicked off!
Starting today, please record the count of mantra chanting, participant's name or name of cultivation venue on the official TBSN website:

【Important Notes】
Those who attended the Mahabala Ceremony presided over by Living Buddha Lian-sheng in Seattle on Aug. 27, 2016 and received the Mahabala empowerment are not required to request another empowerment for the Mahabala Ghost Prohibiting Practice. The Mahabala empowerment given during the ceremony already includes empowerment to perform this practice.
Vajrayana associations, temples, chapters, and cultivation venues are welcome to request empowerment for Mahabala mantra chanting on behalf of their group by mailing a letter requesting this empowerment to the True Buddha Foundation. The empowerment for Mahabala mantra chanting includes empowerment for the Mahabala Ghost Prohibiting Practice. Remote empowerment cannot be bestowed for the Mahabala Uncommon Practice as empowerment for this practice must be personally bestowed by the Root Guru.
