Since the end of July of 2011, numerous areas of Thailand were suffering torrential rains resulting in flooding across the country drowning at least 600 people. Seventeen provinces were undergoing serious economical and daily living impacts precipitated by the flood. Over half of the continent was submerged in water; however, the flood water levels at affected areas were receding gradually, thereby alleviated the disastrous conditions. Nevertheless, there is one thing that still perplexes the minds of many people as to where the standing water disappeared into since the end of the flood. The stagnant water that had been standing for over four months just disappeared into nothing overnight, how so? It came of the word from a devotee at Mee-Hsing True Buddha Chapter in Thailand, Brother Chan Qing-Yi, who depicted the divine intervention, an incredible miracle of rescue?

``Maenam River overflowed, Mee-Hsing Chapter submerged to the chest level``

Looking back retrospectively few weeks ago, following a Homa ceremony dedicated to Veda Tutelary on November 12 of 2011, Acharya Master Lian-Ou, the Chief Secrectary of Vajrayana Federation of Taiwan & China True Buddha School, received a long-distance phone call from Brother Chan Qing-Yi asking for help earnestly. He dishearteningly told of the incident that it has never been as devastating and horrific since time immemorial as this instance of flood. The upstream of the Maenam river, namely, Chiang Mai was almost completely inundated in water; Mee-Hsing Chapter, situated at the midstream, suffered 30% of the flood water which was upsurging relentlessly. With the onrush of flood water, the temple was swiftly immersed to the chest level over the standing water. Even worse, the ensuing 70% of the flood was drenching the town in a deluge while everyone watched on helplessly and frightfully.
Brother Chan pleaded the Acharya Master for blessings on behalf of all the True Buddha disciples victimized by the flood: 「Beseech Grand Master Lian-Sheng for Buddha blessing in eradicating the flood calamity and preserve homes. 」 The compassionate Grand Master expressed in His words: 「Blessings were bestowed! 」
Then, within five days of Grand Master`s blessing, Mee-Hsing Chapter was immediately relieved of its daily upsurge of 25 to 30 centimeters of water precipitated by the flood; the water level did not rise or lower. It was quite an awesome instance of miracle.
After five days, Sister Chang Yu-Fang of Thailand Da Deng Cultural Publishing , Inc., had a lucid dream, which was later told to Brother Chan, that Grand Master was wearing a dharma king crown and grinning as He ushered her through a round corridor to an arched door. Abruptly, the arched door opened and a deluge of flood water rushed in and ran off to a gaping hole in the ground. She depicted the mistiness brought on by the deluge in the dream to be vivid and lucid and the whole scene was very breathtaking.

``Incredible! A Rare Hundred-Year Flood Vanished Overnight``

On the heel of the lucid dream, the water level of Mee-Hsing Chapter situated at midstream started to recede gradually. The incident is inexplicable to most people; even the international experts in this field could not explain why this happened. Theoretically, the flood water would go downstream to immerse all the towns and villages and drown all civilians following the best known downstream routes. Brother Chan and other followers have uniformly agreed that the remaining 70% of the downstream water could not have possibly vanished within few days without a trace; inasmuch as there was no water pump to suction away the downstream water, and, there was no way the stagnant water could ever evaporate in the given time and weather condition, and there is no ``giant guzzler`` to drink up the water. Whereabouts of the remaining 70% of flood water pose a mystery to most folks. Brother Chan recounted the phenomenon to a crowd of people around him who were quite astonished about it. A flood that has never been so greater in magnitude than the one that engulfed the Golden Mountain Temple in hundreds of years, has vanished just like it happened. Everyone who gathered about him praised in one voice: Grand Master you are marvelous, your are great! Brother Chan continued to speak: there is another follower who also had a lucid dream. She is an ordained assistant instructor, Sih-Tsuey-Lian of Mee-Hsing Chapter, said that she saw in a lucid dream that Grand Master was leading a large gathering of monks and nuns at Taiwan Lei-Tsang True Buddha Temple chanting the Hundred Syllable Mantra, and the merits of which were transferred to the disaster stricken areas of Thailand. Furthermore, a daughter of one of our co-devotees, Brother Chang Guo-Jih, saw with her own eyes, Grand Master stood atop the Dadeng Cultural building in the midst of the flood while radiated forth luminance of blessing on the building. Thereafter, the building and the surrounding streets were not drenched by the flood at all. These miraculous events shall become the legendary tales at chat.

``Your master is the guiding light eradicating darkness, an emerging lotus flower redeems sentient beings on compassion``.
``His dharmakaya shall benefit the sentient without quitting; master`s favorable deeds are hard to return, and He shall be followed life upon life``.

Marvelous Grand Master! You really vanished the big flood! Thailand True Buddha devotees have experienced the greatest and longest flood in history, whereupon a heartfelt reflection is addressed: Looking back at those grueling days together, where has the water gone to seems not so important anymore. What is more important is being grateful to the Master`s instructions and manifestation, thereby inform sentient beings of the impermanence of worldly affairs. Within such short span of human life, the moment of reckoning has come to pass at the flick of the fingers; this is reflected in an adage that every temporal thing can not be taken thither except one`s karmic merits and demerits. With every bit of life in the passing, only those who have awakened from a close call with death or have crossed over the threshold of death can appreciate the preciousness and invaluableness of having a human body. The fortunate True Buddha School devotees are thankful of the stories posted. The sentient beings are protected under the tutelage of Grand Master. Let us treasure the karmic affinity with Grand Master while He is still alive and well. Everybody should beseech for longer temporal presence of Grand Master and self-cultivate diligently so as not to let lapse the precious karmic affinity with Buddha.
