The Incredible Real-life Sighting by Dharma Sister Lotus Xiu Yan at the Marici Bodhisattva Puja Ceremony!

Living Buddha Lian-Sheng Grand Master Sheng-Yen Lu once expounded: (Marici Bodhisattva is the emanation of Mahavairocana Buddha and has the supernatural power of invisibility.)
It is the most respected deity in Japanese Estoric Buddhism, and hence, widely worshipped by the ancient masters of Japanese ninjas. The hand mudras formed by ninjas are the mudras of Marici. Marici Bodhisattva is highly revered by all ninjas in Japan.

Today we will be reporting the real-life incredible sighting by Dharma Sister Lotus Xiu Yan, who hailed from Toronto, Canada, and participated in the Marici Bodhisattva Homa Ceremony, presided by Living Buddha Lian-Sheng Dharma King Sheng-Yen Lu at Rainbow Lei Zang Temple on 13 Oct 2013. She witnessed the inconceivable scenes that occurred when Dharma King Lian-Sheng was performing the hand mudras.

The writer specially interviewed Dharma Sister Xiu Yan, who is also the elder sister of Acharya Lian-Ning. This is her first time participating in a Marici’s puja. Before this, she had no prior knowledge of Marici’s story or origin. Below is the exciting narrative by Dharma Sister Xiu Yan.

Lotus Xiu Yan recounts her incredible true-life sighting

This was an incredibly special experience. On Sunday, 13 Oct 2013, my husband Lotus De Qiang and I (as seen in photo attached) participated in the Marici Bodhisattva Homa Ceremony, presided by Grand Master at Rainbow Lei Zang Temple.

This was our first time participating in the fire offering of Marici. As we had a wish that seeked fulfillment, I registered to be a primary supplicant. While waiting to offer the khata, my heart was very focused as I repeatedly chanted the heart mantra of Marici and prayed for Grand Master’s and Marici Bodhisattva’s blessings to fulfill my wish.

The ceremony proceeded smoothly with much solemnness and dignity. At the very moment when Grand Master started to perform the various hand mudras, a huge eye suddenly appeared right in front of me. The background was infused with blue light. On the homa altar where Grand Master sat, a gigantic gold-coloured Buddha appeared. He was much bigger and taller than the Homa Hall of Rainbow Lei Zang Temple. In front of this Buddha, two Japanese ninjas cladded in sharp black attire with swords on their backs, striking duel-like poses, looking very peculiar.

At this instant, I opened my eyes and realized that Grand Master had already concluded the hand mudra performance. In my mind, I was thinking how could it be so fast? Did I not just close my eyes moments ago? How could it have ended already?

At a later part, Grand Master explained how extraordinary Marici was and its origin, Marici Bodhisattva is highly revered by the ninjas of Japan....I was thrilled the moment I heard this because I was still bewildered by the ninja imagery I saw today, and unbelievably, Grand Master explained the affinity between Marici and the ninjas just then.

After the event, I consulted Grand Master on what I saw during the homa. Grand Master said, (The gigantic gold-coloured Buddha that Dharma Sister Xiu Yan saw was the Mahavairocana Buddha! Marici is the emanation of Mahavairocana and Marici is indeed highly revered by many ninjas. This is a very good sign!)

According to the understanding of the writer, the elder sister and brother-in-law of Acharya Lian-Ning have always been a pair of pious True Buddha disciples who are respectful towards Grand Master. The first impression they gave others is their cheerful dispositions.

As the head of the Accident & Emergency department, Dharma Sister Xiu Yan has a optimistic and progressive approach towards life. With a broad and magnanimous mind, she always gives a helping hand to those in need without asking anything in return. Apart from this, Dharma Sister Xiu Yan and Dharma Brother De Qiang never missed the Autumn Season Puja Ceremony, presided by Living Buddha Lian-Sheng Grand Master Sheng-Yen Lu, despite their very busy schedules. This time, they set aside precious time from their schedules to attend this particular Homa ceremony.

In fact, the youngest son of Dharma Sister Xiu Yan is a professional physiotherapist, who once rendered his professional medical assistance to Grand Master in Toronto. Ever since, his medical skills have advanced much, receiving recognition from many people. Both his business and family have also flourished and are doing well. Dharma Sister Xiu Yan, Dharma Brother De Qiang and family have always kept a low profile. This time round, they were very happy and felt privileged to share this real-life sighting of their huge blessing from Grand Master with everybody.

Dharma Sister Xiu Yan said movingly, ’ Actually, in the past, whenever I participated in the fire offering by Grand Master, I would never missed the segment where Grand Master performed the hand mudras.’ But this time, unconsciously, I saw the principal deity of the puja ceremony with my own eyes. I am very thrilled and find it hard to explain! But this is indeed my true testimonial, because accomplishment of Grand Master is top in Dharma power and authenticity! It is truly inconceivable!
