【 Implementation of the Current Detailed Set of Rules Governing the Selection of Dharma Lecturers for the year of 2013】
In accordance with True Buddha School bylaws , whereby the current detailed set of rules is hence implemented:

1. Registration date: The registration form has to be mailed in starting this day till August 31, which must
be postmarked by the date the registration form is physically received at TBF Office in Seattle. No late
registration form is accepted beyond the aforesaid deadline.

3. Methods of registration:

3.1 If a True Buddha tantric headquarter is available within the applicant`s locality (e.g. Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia): The applicant has to send in all eleven (11) documents called Registration Documents as listed under provision No. 5 of the current detailed set of rules implemented, to a local True Buddha tantric headquarter before the 10th day of August in order to be considered for eligibility. The True Buddha tantric headquarter at issue will then collate and organize all the paperwork and forward it to True Buddha Foundation Office in Seattle, U.S.A. no later than the 31st day of August.
3.2 If a True Buddha tantric headquarter is not available within the locality of the applicant, he or she has to submit all eleven (11) documents except the one called Letter of Recommendation from a local True Buddha tantric headquarter,which is listed as Registration Document #3 under Provision No. 5 of The current detailed set of rules implemented, totaling ten (10) documents. The ten documents must be received at True Buddha Foundation Office in Seattle no later than the 31st day of August.

4. Eligibility Conditions for Registration:
4.1 The applicant must be a current Assistant Dharma Instructor and has a track record of being such
for at least three (3) consecutive years.
4.2 The applicant must be recommended by his or her local True Buddha chapter. Each chapter may
only recommend one candidate to participate in the selection process.
4.3 The applicant must have been a permanent Assistant Dharma Instructor in the chapter at issue.
4.4 The applicant must be under the age of sixty years old (60).
4.5 The applicant`s accomplishments in tantrayana endeavor ( all four feats below must be completed):
4.5.1 Completed one hundred thousand full physical prostrations of obseisance.
4.5.2 Completed one hundred thousand recitations of The Fourfold Refuge Mantra.
4.5.3 Completed one million recitations of The Root Guru Heart Mantra.
4.5.4 Completed one hundred thousand recitations of a dharma tutelary deity mantra. ( of practitioner own choice of tutelary deity)

5. Registration documents:

5.1 Application form for candidate Dharma Lecturer (to be filled out completely and attach a 2x2 frontal facial photo). The unfilled application form can be downloaded from True Buddha School web site at: http://tbsn.org/chinese2/fileslist.php?classid=5
5.2 Rules and formats pertained to the letter of recommendation issued by the applicant`s chapter:
5.2.1 The letter issued by the True Buddha School chapter at issue must be official stationary.
5.2.2 The top margin of the letter must bear the full official letterhead of the chapter at issue.
5.2.3 The main content of the letter beneath the letterhead should contain commendation message issued by the administrative staff of the chapter. The commendation message must be issued under the resolution of consensus agreement among the administrative staff.
5.2.4 The bottom segment of the letter must bear the official seal of the chapter , as well as the signatures of the administrative staff who have agreed consensually to vouch for the applicant of interest.
5.3 A letter of recommendation issued by the local True Buddha tantric headheadquarter (this requirement is waived if a local True Buddha tantric headheadquarter is not available within the applicant`s locality).
5.4 The applicant must submit a semi-annual report on his or her missionary duties in furthering the cause of True Buddha School.
5.5 Obtain at least two (2) letters of recommendation from at least two (2) individual Acharyas. Each letter of recommendation must be personally written and endorsed by an Acharya. If an Acharya(s) is available within the applicant`s locality, then at least one letter of recommendation is to be procured from the Acharya(s) of interest. Note: locality refers to the country of the applicant.
5.6 Obtain at least one (1) letter of recommendation from at least one (1) long-term resident Dharma
Instructor. (Each letter of recommendation must be personally written and endorsed by the long-term
resident Dharma Instructor. If a long-term Dharma Instructor is not available on site, then this requirement is waived.
5.7 Track-record of community service (such as voluntary work rendered in the interests of Lotus Light Charity Society or one`s community or country).
5.8 Diagnostic report of any tuberculosis symptom. Candidacy will be denied if a tuberculosis symptom is found.
5.9 Diagnostic report of any hepitites-B symptom. Candidacy will be denied if a hepitites-B symptom is found.
5.10 If ever participated in an Assistant Dharma Instructor training class or Buddhism/Buddhadharma study group, and so forth, whereof the applicant shall produce a photocopy of the certificate of completion for each participation and submit them as merits towards consideration of candidacy.
5.11 Write an article of insightful synopsis on a book according to the rules set forth below as to the number of words and topic allowed:
5.11.1 Each article of insightful synopsis is limited to between 1000 and 1200 words. The selected book title has to be specified.
5.11.2 The following is listed books by Grand Master, which are broken down in eleven (11) categories.

6. Qualification assessment:
The applicant shall follow the current detailed set of rules implemented as to provision number 1
through 5 on registration. Hereupon, the core committee of True Buddha Foundation shall assess
the application of concern and approve it if qualified. Consequently, the following documents shall
be issued to the applicant: admission pass to the test, study material catered to the test for
prospective Dharma Lecturers and Assistant Dharma Instructors, and the test schedule.

7. Test date: November 13th (Applicants are welcome to attend on a trial basis a two day study session
for Assistant Dharma Instructors on November 11th and 12th).

8. Test location: Taiwan Lei Tsang Tzi Temple.

9. Available choices of language for the test: Chinese, English, Indonesian (Select one).

10. Contents of the test:
10.1 True Buddha`s Dharma within Dharma (75th book by Grand Master),
10.2 True Buddha Tantra Practice Sutra (81st book by Grand Master),
10.3 The Halo of Wisdom (154th book by Grand Master),
10.4 The Treasure Sword of a Yogi (214th book by Grand Master),
10.5 A Detailed Exposition on Tantrayana Sadhana (A discourse by Grand Master),
10.6 Study material taylored to the test for prospective Dharma Lecturers and Assistant Dharma
Instructors (Provided by True Buddha Foundation to test participants).

11. Test score percentage distribution: written test-40%, chanting in Sanskrit-20%, interview-30% and
insightful synopsis on a selected book read.

12. Assigned to Dharma Lecturers only:
12.1 A certificate issued to a Dharma Lecturer is good for three (3) years only.
12.2 True Buddha Foundation shall retest and re-assess the Dharma Lecturer once every three (3)
years. The holder of higher scores shall be privileged to renew his/her position countless times.
12.3 The Dharma Lecturer must be commissioned only in the chapter from where his or her letter of
recommendation was originally issued; missionary service at any other chapter is not permitted.
