True Buddha School's Great Event! 2017 marks H.H. Living Buddha Lian-sheng's 50th year in book writing!

As we bid farewell to 2016 time moves on, flowing like H.H. Living Buddha Lian-sheng's pen-holding hand that expresses life's wisdom freely. His each and every word then transforms into prajna (wisdom) that nourishes the spirituality of sentient beings.

On the first day of 2017, at the Daden Cultural Creativity Gallery surrounded by close to a thousand disciples cheering and hailing ''Happy New Year'' in high spirits, Living Buddha Lian-sheng and Shimu Lianxiang commenced the activities and interviews being held in conjunction with Living Buddha Lian-sheng's 50th year of book writing.

In today's interview Living Buddha Lian-sheng specially mentioned that ''books represent my heart.'' In addition, every book he has written over the past half century can be condensed into one word: ''wisdom.''

The thought in Living Buddha Lian-sheng's mind is to connect buddhas and bodhisattvas to sentient beings. Therefore,
Living Buddha Lian-sheng is able to penetrate the wisdom of the Buddha and at the same time enter the hearts of sentient beings.

Living Buddha Lian-sheng also revealed that Philosophy of Sheng-yen Lu is his favourite book. In fact, however, every single one of Living Buddha Lian-sheng's books has a different ''dharma flavor'' and purport. It is up to the individual reader to decide which book is most suitable to read.

Living Buddha Lian-sheng sincerely hopes that everyone will be able to acquire the power and wisdom of the buddhadharma from reading his books and that everyone will benefit from his books.

Lastly, as everyone sang the Happy Birthday song they were wishing that Living Buddha Lian-sheng would prolong his book writing eternally.

We wish to share with everyone this joyful and bright moment of celebration with the Buddha on this very first day of 2017.
