On Jan. 29, 2023, at Dayi Temple, Living Buddha Lian-sheng Will Preside Over a Consecration Ceremony and a Grand Adversaries-Crushing Tara Ceremony

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, Living Buddha Lian-sheng will preside over a consecration ceremony and a grand Adversaries-Crushing Tara Ceremony at Dayi Temple in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This will be the 4th Tara transmitted at Dayi Temple. Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremonies and share the joy of the Dharma.

Adversaries-Crushing Tara [Vadi Pramardani Tara, Zhengyi Mitubma] is the 7th Tara of the 21 Taras. She is also known as Enemy-Defeating Tara or TRAT-PHAT Tara [Tara with TRAT and PHAT sounds]. She saves sentient beings with great compassion, does not abide in the cycle of reincarnation, and is a lord who destroys demons and black magic. She is blazing with flames, severs the darkness of ignorance, and has incomparable merit and power to overcome all evil karmic causes.

Adversaries-Crushing Tara is black and clothed in Dharma robes. Her hair stands upright and she is wrathful in appearance. She is standing upon a lotus dais with her left leg outstretched and her right leg bent. Because she is empowered by the buddhas of the ten directions, Ratnasambhava is above her crown. She has one face and four arms. Her main right hand holds a Dharma wheel while the second right hand holds a sword. Her main left hand holds a lotus with a vajra on it, while the second left hand forms the Wrathful Mudra. Her mudra is identical to that of Green Tara. Her mantra is “Om, da-la, du-da-la, du-la, so-ha, hum, hum, pei”.

Dayi Temple has numerous merits and virtues, such as 3,000 Green Taras (3,000 Taras), golden glazed tiles, cornerstones, dragon pillars, meditation rooms, and offices, all available for anyone interested in forming a karmic relationship by sponsoring the temple’s construction fund.
