Rainbow Temple Notification of Qingming Festival Great Compassion Repentance Ceremony

Great News!

At 2:00 pm on Mar. 30 (Wednesday), a Great Compassion Repentance Ceremony will be solemnly conducted in conjunction with the Qingming Festival that honors deceased relatives and pays tribute to ancestors.

The principal deity of the Great Compassion Repentance Ceremony is the Thousand-Armed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara, who compassionately answers prayers and responds to every plea in every direction far and wide. Therefore, the merit of those who sincerely repent and pray for the kind blessings of Thousand-Armed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara during the Great Compassion Repentance Ceremony will eliminate karmic hindrances of the deceased while increasing their level of attainment and helping them attain happiness and freedom from suffering. For the living, the merit of repentance purifies transgressions and karmic hindrances, eliminates calamities and hardships, and generates extensive bodhicitta.

Everyone is welcome to register themselves, family members, loved ones, deceased relatives, aborted baby spirits, etc. for the repentance ceremony so their lotus level may be elevated and they may be delivered to the Buddha Pure Land.

Apart from the repentance ceremony, other Dharma events will be held at the Rainbow Temple Twin-Lotus Realm Columbarium on a regular basis. At 2:00 pm on the first Monday of every odd month of 2022, there will be a chanting ritual to enhance the merit of and deliver deceased relatives, aborted baby spirits, ghosts, and spirits whose cremains are interred at the columbarium. In every even month, a chanting ritual for blessing and longevity will be held to enhance the good fortune of those living, including those whose life essence is kept in the columbarium.

These rituals include deliverance, blessing, calamity eradication, and repentance ceremonies in connection with the Qingming Festival, Zhongyuan Festival etc.
