COVID-19 Preventive Measures for Sept. 13, 2020 Ceremony

《Rainbow Temple Special Announcement Concerning Sept. 13, 2020 Ceremony》

Due to the continued spread of COVID-19 in the United States, Rainbow Temple is fully implementing COVID-19 preventive measures mandated by the State of Washington. The Sept. 13 Life Essence Burial Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM, followed by a Mahottara Homa Ceremony at 3:00 PM. So that Grandmaster may be able to continue to use the power of homa ceremonies for blessing and calamity eradication, Rainbow Temple has established the following protocols, and is asking everyone to abide by these regulations.

The State of Washington strictly requires the wearing of face masks or other face coverings at all public gatherings. Therefore, ceremony participants must abide by the face mask requirement both indoors and outdoors, and maintain 6 feet of social distancing. Disciples who are coming from different countries or states to participate in the ceremony must undergo a 14-day quarantine period prior to participating in the ceremony.

On Sept. 13, the day of the homa ceremony, Rainbow Temple will be open for participating disciples from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Due to limited space, the inside of the homa hall will be reserved for rinpoches, masters, reverends, and designated volunteers who are assisting with the ceremony. Disciples who come to Rainbow Temple to participate in the ceremony should park in the parking lot and participate in the ceremony from their cars via the webcast. During the empowerment part of the ceremony, participants should follow the instructions of security personnel and maintain the required social distancing when entering the homa hall for empowerment. Following the empowerment at the conclusion of the ceremony, participants should return to their vehicles and drive back home. Disciples please cooperate by limiting your activity to the parking lot. Please do not enter the homa hall and the main hall of Rainbow Temple. On the day of the ceremony, Rainbow Temple will provide a loving delicious lunch box for participants in the Life Essence Burial and Homa Ceremonies. The lunch boxes can be picked up at the kitchen in the garage.

Disciples who are participating in the homa ceremony can download the Rainbow Temple Visitor Health Declaration Card from the Rainbow Temple website, complete it in advance, and hand it in to personnel stationed at the entrance of Rainbow Temple on the Sunday of the ceremony. Participants must comply with mandated preventive measures by undergoing body temperature screening prior to entering temple grounds. Any participant unable to comply with these requirements will be denied entrance to the temple grounds.

Other than designated Rainbow Temple or Seattle Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple audio/visual personnel, no person or organization is permitted to film or take photographs after entrance onto Rainbow Temple grounds.

The main hall of the Rainbow Temple will not be open for on-site homa ceremony registration. Prior to the ceremony,
disciples should make every effort to pre-register online or by fax as regular supplicants or as ceremony primary supplicants. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are deeply grateful for the compassion and blessings of the Root Guru. We thank everyone for their cooperation, and pray that everyone will be free of Covid-19 infection, healthy, and everything peaceful and auspicious!

Note: This notification pertains only to the Sept. 13 ceremony. Future ceremonies will open for participation by disciples at the usual time of 1:00-2:30 PM. We thank everyone for their cooperation.

Best Regards,
Rainbow Temple Board of Directors
