《Rainbow Temple Announcement, July 8, 2020》COVID-19 Preventive Measures for Homa Ceremonies

With the recent daily increase of COVID-19 cases, our health and lives are under serious threat from this new coronavirus outbreak. Rainbow Temple is doing its utmost to comply with preventive measures mandated by the state of Washington. So that Grandmaster may continue to use the power of homa ceremonies in a non-stop effort to eradicate this calamity and pray for good fortune, Rainbow Temple is setting out certain regulations in writing. We are asking everyone to make every effort to abide by all these rules and regulations in order to maintain the smooth operation of homa ceremonies for the benefit of infinite sentient beings.

To prevent the spread of infection, from today forward, the state of Washington strictly requires that a face mask or a cloth face covering be worn in public locations. We are therefore asking everyone to abide by this regulation both indoors and outdoors, and to self-maintain six feet of safe social distancing to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Disciples from foreign countries or other states please self-quarantine for a period of 14 days prior to attending homa ceremonies at Rainbow Temple. We hope everyone will do their utmost to comply with the above regulations to help ensure maximum health and safety for all.

For Sunday homa ceremonies held at Rainbow Temple, doors will be open for disciples between 1:00-2:30 PM. Except for the personnel of Rainbow Temple and Seattle Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple, ordained sangha associated with the True Buddha Foundation, and designated volunteer personnel assisting with the ceremonies, all disciples attending ceremonies at Rainbow Temple should park in the parking lot and watch the ceremony via the internet from within their vehicles. Participants should enter the Homa Hall only during the empowerment by following the instructions of security personnel while maintaining safe social distancing. Following the empowerment, participants are asked to immediately leave the grounds of Rainbow Temple. Disciples attending ceremonies should limit the scope of their activity to the parking lot, and refrain from entering Homa Hall or the main building of the Rainbow Temple.

All disciples attending homa ceremonies should first download the “Rainbow Temple Visitor Health Declaration Card” from the Rainbow Temple website. This form should be filled out in advance and presented to entrance gate personnel on Sunday ceremonies. Attendees will be required to undergo body temperature screening and comply with the temple's COVID-19 preventive measures. Any person who fails to meet COVID-19 preventive measures will be denied entrance to Rainbow Temple grounds.

From today forward, on-site registration for Sunday homa ceremonies at Rainbow Temple will no longer be available. Instead, disciples please pre-register for homa ceremonies online, or via e-mail or fax. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

We are deeply grateful for the compassionate blessings of the Root Guru, and it is the greatest wish of Rainbow Temple that everyone will stay free of COVID-19. We hope everyone will be healthy, safe, and everything auspicious!

Best Regards,
Board of Directors,
Rainbow Lei Tsang Temple
