The Federation of True Buddha School Malaysia asked Grandmaster for instruction on handling old copies of True Buddha News, Enlightenment Magazine, and sutra volumes. Grandmaster answered as follows:
Publications that are still in good shape can be distributed to temples and chapters as virtuous books.
Publications that are old and damaged should be recycled.
Newspapers, magazines, and sutra volumes are protected by deities. Neglecting to properly care for them is a transgression.

Subject: Handling Old Copies of True Buddha News, Enlightenment Magazine, and Sutra Volumes
Many cultivation venues are faced with an overflow of old copies of True Buddha News, Enlightenment Magazine, and sutra volumes. How should we handle these publications?
We would like to ask Grandmaster whether, after informing the buddhas and bodhisattvas at the shrine, these publications can be recycled? Or is there a more appropriate means of handling them?
Disciples await Grandmaster’s instruction.
With greatest respect,
Your disciple Lianhua Shiji
