2023 Year of Advancement: True Buddha Tantric Dharma “Advancement Homework Check-in”
Amituofo! Auspicious greetings to dear True Buddha School fellow disciples!
Just as the new year heralds new beginnings, let’s all set forth on a new journey to improve cultivation in 2023. To inspire everyone to regularly practice the True Buddha Tantric Dharma, we have designated 2023 as Advancement Year. Beginning Feb. 13, there will be a daily homework check-in activity. Details of the activity are as follows:
(Students who complete one of the A, B, & C options below for one full year will earn one credit.）
Option A: Suitable for new or beginning level disciples (complete all 4 of the following items each day):
Recite the High King Sutra 3 times.
Recite the 100 Syllable Mantra 21 times.
Recite the Padmakumara Heart Mantra 108 times.
Cultivate one session of the Four Preliminaries Vajrasattva Practice (at least 6 sessions per week).
Option B: Suitable for regular practitioners who want to advance their cultivation (Complete at least 7 of the following items each day):
Recite the High King Sutra 3 times.
Recite the True Buddha Sutra one time.
Recite the 100 Syllable Mantra 21 times.
Recite the Padmakumara Heart Mantra 1080 times.
Cultivate one session of the Four Preliminaries Vajrasattva Practice or Root Guru Yoga (at least 6 sessions each week).
Perform the Great Homage Prostration 21-49 times (either the 5-point version or the full body prostration version is acceptable).
Meditation practice (at least 14 minutes).
Study an article from one of Grandmaster’s books or one of Grandmaster’s Dharma discourses (minimum of 5 articles or 5 Dharma discourses per week)
Option C: Suitable for advanced practitioners who want to go deeper and refine their cultivation (complete the following items each day): Determine your own homework: Cultivators can establish their own appropriate homework based on their cultivation experience. Preferably, this homework will include mantra recitation, dharma cultivation, meditation, exercise, reading, learning, and so on, with the objective of overall improvement.

Students should check in with their counselor’s social media group concerning their homework daily at 10 PM local time. In other words:
◎ Students should check in with their counselor’s group daily.
◎ Counselors will compile relevant data. This data will be submitted to the TBS Online University’s social media group on a weekly basis.
◎ On a monthly basis, a name list of students who have checked in will be submitted to Guru Buddha for his blessing.
