Reaching Out During the Pandemic

On 24th April 2020, Lotus Light Charity Society (Singapore) was approached by Mahakaruna Buddhist Society to help stranded students from Sri Lanka and India who are currently studying in Singapore. Due to the Covid-19 situation and the Circuit Breaker measures, there are about 500 students who have limited access to daily necessities and food items, thus they need help during this difficult period.
In response, LLCS Singapore promptly distributed items to the stranded students,including 220kg of fragrant rice, 40kg of brown rice, 47 cartons of mineral water, 24 packets of rice vermicelli, 192 bottles of Tide Washing Liquid, 27 bottles of shampoo, 480 toilet rolls, and 3 school bags for children.
