August 30, 2026 Highlights of the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond Homa Ceremony

Next week’s ceremony will be the Homa Ceremony of the Great Blessing Vajra and Zashi Lhamo. During this ceremony, His Holiness will transmit the Great Blessing Vajra Practice, the Zashi Lhamo Practice, and the Zashi Lhamo Secret Practice for Sudden Wealth.
Today is the birthday of the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond. His Holiness praised the wonderful birthday blessing video for the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond produced by the mantra-chanting team of Rainbow Temple. He also sang a birthday song together with everyone present as an offering to the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond.
Actually, His Holiness himself does not know what the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond truly looks like. Her appearance was created through human imagination. Even though His Holiness has been with the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond for 56 years, he has still never seen her true appearance. The Golden Mother of the Jade Pond once took him to see the true Padmakumara, who was sparkling like a diamond and had no form or appearance whatsoever. Padmakumara also has a secret. His Holiness will share this secret with everyone when he gives teachings at next week’s Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva ceremony.
The Golden Mother of the Jade Pond told Dharma King Liansheng that any appearance that can manifest is false; being formless and without appearance is what is most real. The same is true of everything in this world. Everything is merely lent to us for our use. When we pass away in the future, there is not a single thing we can take with us.
The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas themselves are inherently formless and without appearance. It is only because human consciousness personifies them that forms and appearances arise. Consciousness is existence; the absence of consciousness is emptiness. Enlightenment lies between non-existence and non-emptiness. What is described in the Diamond Sutra is the state of enlightenment.
The Diamond Sutra was originally part of the Prajnaparamita Sutras. It was later condensed into the Diamond Sutra, and the Diamond Sutra was further condensed into the Heart Sutra. The Surangama Sutra, on the other hand, discusses the methods by which twenty-five Bodhisattvas entered samadhi.
As practitioners, we must follow the four key points His Holiness has spoken about and put them into actual practice: compassion, equality, tolerance, and purity. We cultivate Vajrayana for the sake of attaining purity. Once we become pure, we will understand compassion, equality, and tolerance.
Repentance is practiced in order to realize an equal mind. With an equal mind, we will regard all sentient beings as ourselves. When a practitioner realizes absolute oneness, they will understand that everyone is equal and without distinction.
Next week, His Holiness will share with everyone his own realizations from his cultivation. Whether you believe them or not is up to each individual practitioner. During this period, His Holiness’s teachings have all revolved around these realizations. If a practitioner understands them, it is equivalent to attaining enlightenment.
Before concluding the teachings at the ceremony, His Holiness shared the accounts of several fellow disciples who saw the Root Guru at the time of their passing. His Holiness said that if a practitioner can still remember the Root Guru, Principal Deity, and Dharma Protectors at the time of death, they will definitely be able to attain rebirth.
One must understand how to let go of all worldly wealth, sensual pleasures, and fame, because when we pass away, no one can take any of them along.
