Typhoon Morakot Raged Through Southern Taiwan True Buddha Foundation Appeals to All For Disaster Relief !!!

The latest over prevailing storm flood has submerged numerous villages, towns and cities in Taiwan,brought on by the recent assailing typhoon, the affected civilians were rendered homeless; infrastructures, bridges and roads were thus destroyed. There are also news of mudslides burying villages and people alive. According to report, the flood that has occurred since August 8 this month, is regarded as the most unprecedented and disastrous over the past 50 years in Taiwan. Number of people killed or missing caused by this storm flood is reportedly mounting in the following counties: Zhanghua(彰化)、Nantou(南投)、Yunlin(雲林)、Jiayi(嘉義)、Tainan(台南)、Gaoshiong(高雄)、Pindong(屏東)、Taidong(台東), etc.

The state of the calamity is severe, thus distressing the people throughout.

In earnest, True Buddha Foundation appeals to all True Buddha establishments and devotees endowed with compassion and moral conscience as professed by our Grand Master, to be generous and forthcoming in reaching out to the victims of concern. All devotees are encouraged to dedicatedly recite the Calamity Liberating mantra, and continuously practice the True Buddha Tantrayana cultivation, and to conduct Dharma Assembly or Bardo Deliverance for the disembodied spirits of concern. Ultimately, the devotees would consecrate the spiritual merits from the above Dharma activities to the disaster stricken areas and sentient beings as such. May all disaster victimized and disembodied souls to be rid of fear and transmigrated to the Mahayana Pure Land, and, to launch the rescue and disaster relief efforts, and may the post-disaster recovery efforts be undeterred. Earnest participation in the rescue and disaster-relief efforts is anticipated of all; alms-giving in monetary form or non-monetary form, depending on ones ability, is fully encouraged. All contributions and personal efforts will be directed to help relieve the affected victims and rebuild their homes.
