The True Buddha Foundation's Education Department would like to thank all of the volunteers who have stepped forth to offer their services and dedication to lead the online English group cultivation on YouTube, to assist with propagating the True Buddha Tantric Dharma to disciples all over the world!
Presently, we have offered online English group cultivation on Saturday mornings at 8:30am (PST/Seattle time), which is aimed for introductory purposes. We are pleased to announce that we will be introducing a second time slot for the online English group cultivation, which will focus on offering the complete Four Preliminaries Practice (which includes the High King Sutra).
In Living Buddha Lian-Sheng's exposition on Lamdre (on Sat., Jan. 30, 2021), there are five paths for leaving the realms of rebirth and realizing the perfect path of nirvana, which are: 1) the Merit Accumulation Path, 2) the Preliminary Path, 3) Seeing the Path, 4) Path of Practice, and 5) the Ultimate Path. Grandmaster Lu discusses the importance of the practice in his dharma talk, "In Tantrayana, we have the Four Preliminary Practices: The Great Mandala Offering, Great Homage, Fourfold Refuge, generating bodhicitta and repentance. They are part of the Merit Accumulation Path and the Preliminary Path." "The Four Preliminary Practices serve to enhance your great fortune, such as the Great Mandala offering which increases your fortune. When you perform the Great Homage, it is a form of humbling oneself to practice the highest path. In performing the Great Homage, it has the meaning of taking refuge in the sages. The Great Mandala Offering and the Great Homage thus relies on the Guru, Buddha, Dharma and Sangha."
As the Four Preliminaries Practice is the foundational practice in Vajrayana, we encourage the True Buddha School's disciples all over the world to partake in the online cultivation.
The new time slot will be conducted by Dharma Brother Lotus Reginald Kerolle from the Dominican Republic on Sunday mornings from 7:00am-8:30am (PST/Seattle time) starting on Sunday, Jan. 16th, 2022 to Sunday, May 1st, 2022. Please stay tuned for further updates about this period.
