Q&A Concerning Xin Chou New Year Inviting the Wealth Deity Practice (Part 2)


Q1: How should one dispose of five-grain rice in the Gengzi Year’s treasure bowl?
A1: One may cook and eat the rice if it is still edible. Otherwise, discard it and reuse the treasure bowl.

Q2: Did Grandmaster instruct that a brand new treasure bowl must be used to welcome the Year of the Ox Wealth Deity? Disciples are concerned that since it’s already the Lunar New Year season, treasure bowls may be sold out and they won’t be able to get a new one. Is it really necessary to buy a new treasure bowl?
A2: The red treasure bowl can be reused. Grandmaster has not instructed that a new treasure bowl is required. However, it’s perfectly fine to use a new treasure bowl if you want to.

Q3: The cylinder I received from the True Buddha Foundation for use in the 2021 Inviting the God of Wealth Practice contained more than three stems of auspicious grass. Since only three stems are required, what should I do with the extra stems?
A3: On January 19, 2021, Grandmaster instructed that three or more stems of auspicious grass can be used in the practice. The number three symbolizes abundance.

Q4: Regarding last year’s Inviting the Wealth Deity treasure bowl, how and when does one dispose of its contents?
A4: Last year's treasure bowl can be removed and cleaned on Dec. 24 of the lunar calendar [Feb. 5, 2021 of the solar calendar]. The treasure bowl can be reused.
