【True Buddha Foundation Notification】Fundraising for Hurricane Matthew Disaster Relief in Haiti


On Oct. 4-5, 2016, Hurricane Matthew hit Haiti, a Caribbean country and the poorest country in the Americas, with extreme severity. Hurricane Matthew is being called the strongest hurricane to strike the Caribbean region in the past 10 years, with winds reaching as high as 233km/h, equivalent to a level 17 hurricane. More than 800 people have been killed in the storm and tens of thousands have been left homeless. International disaster relief organizations are predicting that a shortage of clean, drinkable water may lead to cholera in Haiti and strengthen other infectious diseases.

The True Buddha Foundation is calling on all fellow disciples of the True Buddha School to uphold the teachings of H.H. Living Buddha Lian-sheng and follow the buddhas and bodhisattvas' compassionate spirit of saving those who are suffering and helping those in difficulty. We urge fellow disciples to reach out by donating funds to the disaster victims so they can get through this difficult time and restore their families.
