2020 is the Year of the Rat. The Wealth God of the new year resides in the West, which belongs to the element of gold and is represented by the color red.
To invite the Wealth God, fill a red treasure pot with rice to about 80% full, light one or three sticks of incense, and stick them in the pot.
On the 1st, 2nd, 15th or 16th of the first lunar month, between 7-9 am, carry the red pot with the lit incense out the front door, face to the west, walk eight steps, and then invite the Wealth God by saying ''Wealth God, please come to my house!'' Afterwards, bring the pot back inside the house and place it in the wealth corner.
