Support the Worldwide Lotus Light Charity Society
Although modern society has seen great scientific advancement and a flourishing of the material world, there are still shortages of medicine, widespread poverty, and persistent failings in education and culture. As humanity has accumulated material wealth and riches, society’s spiritual resources have gradually diminished. In view of these developments, on the personal initiative of Living Buddha Lian-sheng, founder of the True Buddha School, the Lotus Light Charity Society was formally established on July 30, 1993. This organization is intended to connect the four million worldwide True Buddha School disciples for the purpose of engaging in charitable activities together, enriching society, and purifying the hearts and minds of our fellow men.
Since its establishment, the Lotus Light Charity Society has invested its utmost effort into every kind of compassionate activity, and at the same time, has rapidly expanded its organizational structure to 88 chapters throughout the world.
Mission and Objective
In the spirit of loving kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity, and for the purpose of carrying out the Buddha’s philosophy of “Benevolence lacking a specific object and great compassion based on sameness in essence”, the Lotus Light Charity Society is making an all out effort to promote the four vocations of health care, social relief, education, and culture.
True Buddha School disciples can be found in every corner of the world. Via the worldwide establishment of the Lotus Light Charity Society, the disciples and chapters are able to unite and share the important mission of performing compassionate and charitable activities while serving society by carrying out the Mahayana bodhisattva spirit.
