April 6, 2020 – “Together with the Buddha” series -- Thematic feature
With effect from April 4, 2020, disciples worldwide will be able to view, via webcast, our Root Guru’s dharma discourse at Seattle Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple every Saturday at 8pm. Even as COVID-19 contagion continues to escalate, Grandmaster remains steadfast in the propagation of Buddha-dharma.
From the discourses by Grandmaster, everyone can see that he suffers when sentient beings suffer; he weeps when sentient beings are devastated. With great compassion in his heart, Grandmaster prays to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to deliver the unfortunate dead victims of COVID-19. Through the power of Buddha-dharma, Grandmaster soothes the anxious soul of sentient beings.
Despite the grim COVID-19 ravages, the arrival of Spring is welcoming. The great weather is uplifting to the spirit -- white clouds lace the blue sky, while soft winds caress the people and objects in Seattle. Greenery makes its appearance everywhere, and flowers fight to show off their brightest colors.
At the back of the True Buddha Tantric Quarter, pear-blossom trees bloom with white flowers. Everytime Grandmaster walks on the grounds in the garden, the scent of the white flowers lingers behind him. A sense of purity is palpable. As the sun shines on, the whiff of the fragrance permeates the tranquil air, creating a heartwarming and serene ambience.
Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple has ceased all gatherings and events in accordance with regulations from the government; everyone also stays at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, Grandmaster has never once forgotten sentient beings. Everyday, he would do his practices, write books, bless all disciples and all letters which came in for wish-fulfilment. He is ever selfless in benefiting all sentient beings.
Grandmaster’s perseverance in propagating the Buddha-dharma and his compassion in blessing everyone serve to reinforce the faith that disciples already have. In these trying times, the spiritual reliance on Grandmaster is the greatest pillar of strength ever.
Let’s place our palms together in homage to our Root Guru.
