The True Buddha School (TBS) is praying for earthquake relief in Turkey and Syria.
On February 11th, may disciples in every corner of the world join together to recite the Disaster Relief Mantra.


On February 6, at 4:00 a.m. local time, a shallow earthquake of 7.8 on the Richter scale with a focal depth of only 17.9 kilometers occurred near Gaziantep Province which borders Syria in southern Turkey.
Following the earthquake there were a series of successive strong aftershocks. According to reports, many buildings in the disaster area collapsed, killing more than 1,000 people and injuring thousands more. Many victims were buried under the rubble, and it was impossible to determine how many were still alive. It was one of the strongest earthquakes in the region in the past 100 years.

Through official sources and media outlets, Turkish authorities confirmed that at least 15,834 people were injured in the earthquake. Authorities in Syria reported at least 1,451 people killed and 3,531 injured in the disaster area. According to latest reports from Turkey and Syria, around 5,606 buildings have collapsed in Turkey, and at least 4,372 people have died in the earthquake and aftershocks. Currently, 19,574 rescuers are providing relief in the disaster area.

Via live webcast on TBSN from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm on February 11th, Taiwan time, the True Buddha Foundation will join together with worldwide TBS cultivation venues and fellow disciples to recite the Disaster Relief Mantra. The merit of the recitation will be dedicated to ongoing relief operations, the smooth administration of rescue work in Turkey and Syria, speedy recovery of those injured, aid for those suffering, and for the deceased to gain rebirth in the pure land.

Disaster Relief Mantra: "Ta-chi-zha-zha-la。ta-chi-lu-lou-li。 ma-ha-lu-lou-li。ah-la-mo-la。duo-la。so-ha"

Living Buddha Lian-sheng stated: "The sound of mantra is a flowing river of life. When everyone is transformed into the sound of a mantra, the earth becomes resonant.

"The Disaster Relief Mantra has the power to deliver deceased spirits and protect sentient beings from suffering. Those who have encountered disasters, whether caused by humans, demons, illnesses, or forces of nature, and those suffering from disturbances of body and mind, can be saved by the marvelous and incomparable Disaster Relief Mantra."

Let us pray for Turkey and Syria by joining together to recite the Disaster Relief Mantra. May our prayers enter the hearts of the buddhas and bodhisattvas, protecting Mother Earth and providing relief to those in need.
