Dearest Grandmaster,
My name is Lianhua E-lynn and I am a disciple from Malaysia. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for your tremendous blessings.
Since the beginning of 2020, Malaysia, along with the rest of the world, has been seriously impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. On March 18, 2020, the Malaysian government imposed a Movement Control Order (MCO) as a preventive measure. The industry I work in (insurance) was severely affected by these restrictions. I had to adapt to the new COVID-19 protocols by transitioning from in-person to online meetings.
Homa ceremonies and group cultivation sessions presided over by Grandmaster have also shifted to an online format. I am truly grateful that I am now able to practice together with Grandmaster and listen to his precious Dharma talks from home on weekends. It’s even more fortunate that I can send Grandmaster my greetings and be blessed by him via Zoom Cloud meetings every Monday morning. I am truly thankful for this wonderful Dharma affinity.
However, due to having spent the entire year working remotely from home using electronic devices day and night, my left thumb developed into a trigger thumb. This condition caused pain, stiffness, and a sensation of locking when moving my left thumb. I was really stressed out by this, especially at night, because the discomfort interfered with my sleep. When waking up in the middle of the night from the pain caused by my inflamed thumb locking up, I had to use my good hand to slowly massage and straighten my locked thumb. Only then could I fall asleep again. After suffering for about 3 months, I consulted a doctor. He recommended surgery to unlock my thumb so it could move freely again. I was frightened and confused by this prospect. Would surgery be advisable while the pandemic was raging?
As it turned out, Grandmaster compassionately instructed that disciples participating via live webcast or Zoom could all receive blessings at a healing session to be held during the March 14 Mahottara Heruka Homa Ceremony. I registered for this homa ceremony just as I had for previous ceremonies. When it was time for Grandmaster to initiate the five minute healing session, I immediately gripped my troubled thumb with my good hand and instructed my family members to place their hands on body parts that needed healing. I visualized as instructed by Grandmaster and prayed that my thumb would heal and move freely again.
Following the session, I noticed improvement but I remained cautious and didn’t want to jump to conclusions. After monitoring my thumb for a few more days, I was finally certain that it had, in fact, healed. I no longer needed to worry about a locked thumb that required constant attention, nor was I losing sleep as a result of pain. Apparently, my thumb had really healed!
Feeling ecstatic, I told fellow disciples in my WhatsApp mantra recitation group about Grandmaster’s incomparable healing power. As long as one has total faith in our Root Guru, he will fulfill one’s wishes even if this means bestowing blessings from a distance through time and space. Grandmaster’s kindness and compassion are the source of our happiness. Today, I can report that since the Mahottara Heruka Ceremony a month ago, I haven’t experienced a relapse.
With a grateful heart, I pray for the Guru Buddha to stay in this world for a long, long time.
I love you, Grandmaster. I sincerely pray that venerable Golden Mother of the Jade Pond along with all buddhas and bodhisattvas will bestow their blessings so that Grandmaster will enjoy good health and happiness, attain non-hindrance, and above all, turn the Dharma wheel and stay in this world for many, many years to come.
With Homage and Prostrations,
Lianhua E-lynn
