Beseech Guru Buddha to Stay in the World with a Promise
Grandmaster, we rely on you, just as children rely on the nurturing of their parents.
Thanks to you, we are thriving to this very day.
Grandmaster, you have given us wings to fly and revealed mysteries of the universe for us to explore.
Whether a new disciple who is still crying out for nourishment or a high-level disciple who has reached the sky, when looking back at their life, they will see that Grandmaster is the one who has been guiding with his hands and protecting with his deep wisdom eyes.
Today, March 7, 2021, at Rainbow Temple, Grandmaster said, "I stay in the world for the sole purpose of discoursing the Dharma to save sentient beings." Let us respond to Grandmaster that we will follow in his footsteps, practice his vows, and love sentient beings just as Grandmaster loves them.
Grandmaster vowed: I will not forsake any sentient being, even if my flesh and bones are smashed into pieces.
We are also willing to beseech Guru Buddha to stay in the world with a promise.
Your promise may be to remember Grandmaster morning, noon, and night to imprint Grandmaster in your mind;
light a lamp for Grandmaster and recite the True Buddha Sutra each month on the 18th day of the lunar calendar;
have a heart-to-heart dialogue with Grandmaster by reading one of his articles daily.
Let us tell Grandmaster that, although we practice according to his teachings, we still have shortcomings and need his inculcation. We promise to start with small things and proceed persistently to Buddhahood. . . Let our collective promises touch the Guru Buddha’s mind so he will stay in the world.
The True Buddha Foundation urges everyone to write their promises to Grandmaster on a wish card. Along with your promises, beseech the Buddha to stay in the world. Mail your wish card to True Buddha Tantric Quarter in Seattle, and let Grandmaster see your heart and mind.
