Show Your Talent and Appreciation with Zoom Celebration Gift
Different seasons, different celebrations! We welcome everyone to participate in a “Zoom Gift” competition!
Typically every year, there are four seasons in Seattle: spring, summer, fall, and winter. This year however, we have an additional season: pandemic season!
Although there are many seasons in the year, the fifth month of the lunar year is always a season of great joy for True Buddha School disciples because Root Lineage Guru Dharma King Living Buddha Lian-sheng was born on the 18th day of the fifth month of the lunar year!
This year, ever since Rainbow Temple added Zoom “gatherings” during live webcasts, this cloud assembly has become the “new normal” for disciples and Grandmaster to see each other. On Grandmaster’s birthday this year, the True Buddha Foundation plans to have disciples worldwide, along with disciples on the scene in Seattle, participate in celebrating Grandmaster’s birthday via Zoom video. Which disciples will receive special attention from Grandmaster on his birthday? Your Zoom Gift will be the key. Following are the gift options:
King of Karaoke by singing a song for Grandmaster.
Write your own song or sing any song you prefer with your own lyric as an offering to Grandmaster (make sure to use a song for which you have copyright authorization).
Artists of the True Buddha School by drawing a picture of Grandmaster inspired from your heart. A sketch, drawing, Chibi, cartoon, film, animation in gif, cell phone photoshopped, etc. are all acceptable.
True Buddha Talk Show by speech, imitation, humor, and singing to Grandmaster.
Tell jokes or present Grandmaster’s corpus through comic dialogue, recitation, or storytelling. (Parent-child performances would really be great.)
Master of Dancers by making Grandmaster Laugh wholeheartedly.
One need not be a dance professional to make Grandmaster laugh wholeheartedly by using music and body language with graceful or funny dance posture.
True Buddha TikTok by creating a story film based on Grandmaster’s corpus.
Nowadays, Grandmaster’s younger disciples are experts at making TikTok films. Why not use the TikTok to film a story from Grandmaster’s written works?
Days with Grandmaster by presenting sentimental photos taken with Grandmaster.
Contestants present photographs taken with Grandmaster, either of themselves or group photos with other TBS disciples, and reminisce with anecdotes or stories of the time the photo was taken.
There will be three award winners in each category. The winners’ gifts will be presented as a reverent offering to Grandmaster for his enjoyment on his birthday.
