The Seven-Eyed Buddha Mother, also known as the White Tara, has three eyes on her face, one eye on each palm, and one eye on the sole of each foot, for a total of seven eyes. She is one of the Three Longevity Deities. Cultivating her practice grants the ability to completely eradicate negative karma, resulting in longevity, good health, liberation, and purity.
The Seven-Eyed Buddha Mother Secret Heavenly Eyes Practice enables practitioners to gain the wisdom of profound insight and see manifestations of the Dharma body of Living Buddha Lian-sheng, as well as the Dharma bodies of other buddhas and bodhisattvas. It also grants the ability to see all buddha pure lands.
In the Avatamsaka Sutra, the Buddha discoursed inner realization to the Great Bodhisattvas, "All buddhas have attained the subtle Dharma body. A buddha’s Dharma body extends into infinite realms and is incomprehensible to an ordinary, worldly person. In the Three Realms, the Dharma body is utterly pure and can manifest anywhere in response to causes and conditions. The Dharma body assumes various forms, employs expedient means, is universally illuminating, and possesses the full reservoir of wisdom.”
