Question Submission Rules for Interaction Is Power

This notice is regarding the scope of questions disciples raised to Grandmaster on Oct. 30, 2020 in connection with the Interaction Is Power Series.

Root Lineage Guru Dharma King Lian-sheng instructed: It is not appropriate to publicly inquire about the mantras of any principal deity’s retinue which the Root Guru has never recited. Disciples are encouraged to focus on the principal deity mantra.

Note: Disciples had asked the Root Guru to recite the heart mantras of Suryaprabha Bodhisattva and Candraprabha Bodhisattva, Medicine Buddha’s attendants on the left and right hand side, as well as two other bodhisattvas in Medicine Buddha’s retinue: Medicine King Bodhisattva [Bhaishajya Raja] and Supreme Medicine Bodhisattva [Bhaishajya Samudgate].

In addition, regarding the pronunciation of mantras:

  1. "Bie-zha (别炸)" and "Ban-za (班雜)": The English translation is standardized as Bie-zha.
  2. “Om, ma-li-zhi-yu, so-ha (嗡。摩利支玉。梭哈),” Marici Mantra, the English translation of the “摩” in this mantra is standardized as “ma”.

Therefore,TBSN again asks question submitters to kindly abide by the following rules for the Interaction is Power Series:
  1. Submitters must provide name/Dharma name and country of residence. If possible, please also provide an email address in case clarification of a question is required.
  2. Questions regarding practices are limited to practices that Grandmaster has publicly transmitted and are the second level of empowerment or below.
  3. Asking the Root Guru about the Dharma should be taken seriously, and disciples should demonstrate proper respect and reverence. Please do not ask Grandmaster to transmit mantras or practices that have not yet been publicly transmitted.
  4. Not more than three questions should be submitted at a time. Please keep questions concise and to the point. In the event several questions are submitted by a single person, the question selected for Grandmaster’s response will be that which most benefits sentient beings. The remaining questions will be put on a waiting list. For this reason, please ask your most important question first.
  5. Letters requesting empowerment or seeking refuge should be written personally to the True Buddha Foundation Reply Center in Seattle, and as required by Vajrayana rules, should include an offering. Disciples who are seeking refuge will receive a refuge certificate by return mail.
  6. At all times, please keep updated on Grandmaster’s interactive teachings and information on True Buddha School Net (TBSN). We will follow Grandmaster’s instruction to not re-submit questions that have already been answered.

We welcome disciples who have benefited from Grandmaster’s answers to make an offering to Grandmaster by dedicating the merit of cultivation and mantra recitation or by other methods.

Finally, prior to the submission of a question, we are asking submitters to first make every effort to find answers to questions by searching the internet or the Dharma discourses and Q&A of Interaction Is Power on tbsn.org, and to submit a question only when unable to find an answer.
