【Dorje Drolo Dharmalakṣaṇa Brief Introduction】
Dorje Drolo has one head, two arms, and three eyes. His body is brownish red. He wears a brown brocade robe on his upper body and a dancing skirt on his lower body. His right hand holds a heavenly iron vajra scepter. His left hand holds a phurba. (A nine-headed black scorpion emerges from the fingertips of his left hand.) He tramples on the back of a pregnant tigress. Upon the mara seat, surrounded by flames, he abides peacefully on a sun disc within a lotus.

Magnificent merits of Dorje Drolo:
- Protection from harm by evil deities, malevolent spirits, and karmic creditors.
- Immunity from malignant spells cast by heretics.
- Freedom from nightmares and illnesses due to ominous omens.
- Protecting one’s entire family from illnesses and misfortune.
- Avoidance of fire disasters, smooth career progression, and abundant profits.
- Easy childbirth for women and prevention of premature infant mortality.
- Good health, freedom from illnesses and disasters.
- Protection from harm by evildoers and not subject to manipulation by malicious individuals.
- Longevity, wealth, and prestige in this lifetime.
2024/8/17 Discourse at Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple:
The lineage transmission of Guru Dorje Drolo is truly wonderful (applause). “Guru” represents Padmasambhava, Tibetans call Padmasambhava “Guru Rinpoche.” Dorje Drolo is the wrathful emanation of Padmasambhava. He rides on the back of a tigress (laughter-termagant). This tigress is an emanation of Tashi Khyidren, one of the five consorts.
In what way is Dorje Drolo wonderful? He is able to subjugate the Four Maras: the first is the celestial mara; the second is the mara of death-by cultivating this practice, one will enjoy longevity and good health; the third is the mara of afflictions-by cultivating this practice, one will eradicate all one’s attachments and afflictions; the fourth is the mara of sickness-by cultivating this practice one can eradicate the mara of sickness. Therefore, Dorje Drolo subjugates the Four Maras-the celestial mara, the mara of death, the mara of afflictions, and the mara of sickness.
By attaining spiritual union with Dorje Drolo, one can accomplish the rainbow body and attain a state transcending birth and death.
Also, as long as one attains spiritual union through this practice, two extraordinary and wonderful powers will manifest. One will absolutely be able to transform into rainbow light (applause) equivalent to the Great Perfection attained by Padmasambhava. Beginning from Adharma Buddha to the heavenly lineage, then down to the human realm’s Garab Dorje, Vimalamitra (there are two Vimalamitras), Sri Singha, and to Padmasambhava; they all transformed into rainbow light.
One can validate no-birth and no-death. This practice is so powerful that it enables one to transform into rainbow light. Therefore, cultivating this practice is the same as cultivating the Rainbow Light Transformation Practice. It has the same kind of power, which is inherent in a truly supreme lineage.
If one accomplishes this deity, one will also manifest the rainbow body, and transcend birth and death. There is something else truly wonderful. Dorje Drolo has a kind of power, a magnificent power, such that one’s fame will spread as rapidly as the sound of thunder, and will be heard by everyone like thunder. The fame and reputation will resonate like thunder.
Besides subjugating the Four Maras, Dorje Drolo is also able to transform into rainbow light and transcend birth and death. There is yet another special feature, that is, fulfillment of all one’s desires just as one wishes. Who in this world is able to fulfill all their desires just as they please? Who can say they desire anything whatsoever and have their words come true? No one! Do you know what it means to have your desires fulfilled just as you please? Whatever one thinks of, that very thing will manifest-this is having one’s desires fulfilled just as one pleases. The words one speaks become a Dharma edict. What is one thinking of, that very thing will appear. This is having one’s desires fulfilled just as one pleases.
2024/8/24 Discourse at Rainbow Temple:
It’s incredible to attain spiritual union with Guru Dorje Drolo, because no-birth-no-death, rainbow light transformation, and wish fulfillment will all follow one.
Guru Dorje Drolo is the wrathful emanation of Padmasambhava. He has a great many special characteristics, the foremost of which is that he is the equivalent of transforming into rainbow light. When one attains fruition in this practice, one will be able to transform into rainbow light.
First: One who attains spiritual union with Dorje Drolo will definitely transform into rainbow light.Second: Dorje Drolo enables one’s desires or whatever one thinks to manifest in reality just as one pleases.
Third: Dorje Drolo emanates illusory bodies. One can be like Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Guanyin Bodhisattva of Potala Mt., emanating hundreds of billions of illusory bodies. One can also be like Ksitigharba, emanating into six Ksitigharbas, each of which has hundreds of billions of illusory bodies. All the illusory bodies will manifest. Therefore, every great bodhisattva has hundreds of billions of illusory bodies. Manjusri has hundreds of billions of illusory bodies, Samantabhadra has hundreds of billions of illusory bodies. This is truly an extremely wonderful feature of this practice. Very, very wonderful indeed.
