Grandmaster Lu as the emanation of Amitabha Buddha, the Mother of the Lotus Division, and the Medicine King Tara, the emanation of the Green Tara, who is the Wisdom Consort of the Lotus Division, share the same root.

In the name of the Medicine King, we pray for the nectar of Medicine King Tara to be bestowed upon all the water bottles. We beseech Medicine King Tara to compassionately bless all beings and infuse the water bottles with the sacred nectar.
May Medicine King Tara bestow the Medicine King’s nectar into the water bottles:

Last Night, Medicine King Tara Appeared to Grandmaster Lu
I will briefly share with everyone—last night, Medicine King Tara came to see me! (Applause)Last night, while I was sleeping, Medicine King Tara appeared and gave me a new insight—something I had never thought of before.
In the past, I often said:
  • Life is like a candle in the wind.
  • Wealth and status are like passing clouds.
  • Love is like lightning and thunder.
  • Fame is like bubbles.

People Are in the Saha World Because of Karmic Obstacles
We Are Here to Be Punished By Enduring Birth, Aging, Sickness, and Death

Last night, Medicine King Tara appeared to me and said:
"Do you know who you are in the Saha World?"
Then, she reminded me:
"You are Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva of the Lotus Division."
But, she also added:
"You are no different from other sentient beings."
She gave me the following three-word concept that surprised me a great deal. She said:
"Anyone who comes to the Saha World is condemned to ‘serve a sentence’."
Why do people come to the Saha World?
It is because of karmic obstacles and sinful hindrances.
Thus, everyone must experience birth, aging, sickness, and death. There is no escape.

Shakyamuni Buddha has already taught:
"All sensations are suffering; everything one experiences is suffering."
  • The suffering of birth—we have already forgotten it.
  • The suffering of old age—it is unfolding before us.
  • The suffering of illness—inseparable from aging, yet another kind of suffering.
  • The suffering of death—before dying, the suffering intensifies, becoming even more unbearable.
No one can escape it.

The Saha World Is a Prison, and All Sentient Beings Are Here to Serve Their Sentence
The most shocking thing Medicine King Tara told me was:
"Grandmaster Lu! You are a prisoner. Coming to the Saha World is like entering a prison. The entire planet is a prison, and every human being on Earth is confined within it. Each person is here to serve their sentence, and only by completing this sentence can one purify their karmic hindrances. One day, you will attain purity."

She continued, "Among all the fellow disciples present here—among all the prisoners—are those with relatively good roots." I had never heard anything like this before—we are all prisoners!

To serve a sentence means to come to this world to undergo punishment. The Saha World is a prison, and we are confined on this planet to serve our sentence. I was stunned that Medicine King Tara would say this to me.

Then, what are we praying for? We came here to serve our sentence! If that is the case, what does it mean for tomorrow's ceremony? Doesn't that mean it's all meaningless? We are here to serve our sentences—illness is part of our sentence!

She said,"There is absolutely no escape. If you are sick, you are serving your sentence. If you grow old, you are serving your sentence. The pain before death is also part of the sentence. No one can escape it."
I asked her,
"Then, what about tomorrow’s ceremony? I am praying to you, Medicine King Tara, to heal our illnesses! I am asking you to bestow the sacred nectar upon us, to relieve our suffering, and to perform miracles!"

How Can We Receive Medicine King Tara’s Nectar?
Think about it—why did she choose last night to tell me this? She could have said it earlier or later, but no—she came to me on the night before the ceremony and said: "All people—the sick, the old, the newborn, and the dead—everyone is a prisoner, confined to this Earth!"

Of course, those with good karma might have some wealth and suffer a little less, while those without money suffer much more. However, everyone gets old. When we get old, we lose our strength. When our strength is gone, sickness comes.

I said to her: "Tomorrow’s ceremony is about praying to you! You are the Medicine King—if I don’t pray to you, who else can I turn to? Among the 21 Taras, you alone are the Medicine King Tara!"

I continued:
"Medicine Buddha, Medicine King Tathagata, Superior Medicine Bodhisattva, and Medicine King Bodhisattva—you are the Medicine King Tara, and you belong to the Lotus Division."
"I fully understand that Amitabha Buddha is the Lord of the Lotus Division, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is the Division Mother, Hayagriva is the Dharma Protector, and all the Mahayana Bodhisattvas and Sages are part of the Lotus Division. Tara Bodhisattva is the Green Tara, who is also the Wisdom Consort, and you, Medicine King Tara, are one of her manifestations. Today, there is no one else I can pray to—only you! So tell me, how can we receive your sacred nectar?"

The Surangama Mantra saved Ananda; the Usnisa Vijaya Mantra saved Devaputra Susthita; and the Mahapratisara Mantra saved Yasodhara
I even reasoned with her:
"In the past, mantras were used to save sentient beings. The Surangama Mantra saved Ananda; the Usnisa Vijaya Mantra saved Devaputra Susthita; and the Mahapratisara Mantra saved Yasodhara. You can read the scriptures and see for yourself.”
Medicine King Tara said to me:
"Then, recite the mantra of Tara Bodhisattva—the mantra of Green Tara. Tara Bodhisattva is Green Tara. If you recite Green Tara Mantra, I will bestow nectar upon everyone so that miraculous healings may manifest!" (Applause)

Grandmaster Lu recites the Green Tara Mantra and the Mahapratisara MantraEliminating the karmic obstacles of all beings
Medicine King Tara grants the sacred nectar

Devoutly Chanting the Green Tara Mantra – The Sacred Nectar Brings Miracles
Today, I told her that, by chanting Tara’s heart mantra—the most essential mantra of Green Tara-she will grant us the sacred nectar. When you drink this nectar, miracles will occur! (Applause)

I wholeheartedly beseeched Her. I invoked Golden Mother of the Jade Pond, Amitabha Buddha, and Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva. The Golden Mother of the Jade Pond is the principal deity who inspired my enlightenment; Amitabha Buddha is my original principal deity; Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva is the principal deity of my vows.

You, Medicine King Tara, are the one who bestows divine medicine and miraculous elixirs. May your sacred nectar fill our pure water bottles, so whoever drinks it, miracles shall appear! (Applause)

Chanting Green Tara’s Mantra All Night to Relieve the Suffering of Sentient Beings
So last night, I recited Green Tara’s heart mantra:
"Om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; …"
(Grandmaster chants:) "Om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; …" I chanted the heart mantra throughout the entire night! (Applause) Tara is full of compassion. She must manifest miracles! (Applause)

The Five Heinous Crimes: Killing One's Father, Killing One's Mother, Killing an Arhat, Dividing the Sangha, and Shedding the Buddha’s Blood
In ancient times, only Dharaṇis had the power to help those who had committed the most heinous sins in the world. These extremely wicked individuals include:
  1. Those who kill an Acarya.
  2. Those who kill their own father or mother—such acts define the most evil of people.
  3. Those who destroy Buddhist stupas, slander Buddhist scriptures, and burn sacred texts.
  4. Those who cause division within the monastic community.
These constitute the Five Heinous Crimes—killing an Acarya, killing one’s father, killing one’s mother, destroying the Dharma, and ruining the ordained Sangha.

The Mahapratisara Mantra Can Redeem the Five Heinous Crimes
However, even for those who have committed the Five Heinous Crimes, as long as they keep the Mahapratisara Mantra upon their body, "Om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha," they can transcend to the pure land (applause). Their karmic illnesses will be eradicated. The Five Heinous Crimes can be absolved through the power of the Mahapratisara Mantra, "Om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha." Just these few mantra syllables can enable rebirth in the Buddha's pure land, eliminate karmic illnesses, and purify one's sins.

Grandmaster Lu Recites the Mahapratisara Mantra to Purify the Sins of All BeingsThe Medicine King Tara Grants the Sacred Nectar
Thus, I chanted tirelessly:
"Om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha…" to eliminate the past karmic sins of all my fellow disciples, Shimu, and myself from past lifetimes.
"Om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha; Om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha; Om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha…" Through this, may all our sins be cleansed. Then, Green Tara bestows upon us the sacred nectar that eradicates all diseases. At the moment Medicine King Tara heard my plea, she nodded in agreement (applause)!

This was the experience I had last night. I hope you will all sincerely pray for the Medicine King Tara to bestow the sacred nectar upon the purification vases in your hands. May everyone who drinks it witness miracles! May everyone who drinks it experience divine blessings (applause)!

Today, this ceremony is focusing all its energy on invoking the Medicine King Tara’s sacred nectar to heal our ailments. No matter what illness one suffers from, it can be eradicated (applause)!

Grandmaster Lu and Everyone Chant the Green Tara Mantra and the Mahapratisara Mantra—Praying for All Wishes to Be Fulfilled
Let us all chant the heart mantra of Green Tara together:
Om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha; om, da-lie, dou-da-lie, dou-lie, so-ha.

Good! Now, let us chant the Mahapratisara Mantra again. What we pray for will be fulfilled (applause):
Om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha; om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha; om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha; om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha; om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha; om, ma-ha-bo-la-di, sa-lao, so-ha.

Good! Thank you, Greatly Compassionate Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva! Thank you, Medicine King Tara!
