Grand Master Lu`s Dharma talk (summary) after Saturday Group Practice
聖尊週六同修接續講解六祖壇經
六祖說:「善知識,我此法門,從一般若,生八萬四千智慧。何以故?為世人有八萬四千塵勞。若無塵勞,智慧常現,不離自性。悟此法者,即是無念。」
Virtuous and Knowledgeable Friend, my dharma-gate, from one Prajna, produces eighty-four thousand wisdoms. Why is it? Because people possess eighty-four thousand defilements. Without defilements, wisdom persists, not departing from self-nature. Awaken to this dharma, attains No-thought.
The number of eighty-four thousand has the symbolic meaning of many or uncountable number in India . Of course, the dharma-gate is not limited to only eight-four thousand types.
If there are no worries and defilements, wisdom is always present and revealing itself. It never leaves one𠏋 Buddha nature.
Attain the Prajna dharma, you reach No-thought. As described in the True Buddha Sutra, No-thought is the true enlightenment of Buddha.
The precepts are very important. When Buddha went into nirvana, He said, 孏reat precepts as your teacher.?But when only one person is left in the world, there is no longer good or bad; there is no need for tolerance, and no vows to commit to. Everyone has many thoughts. You need to treat all thoughts as No-thought.
Be aware not to fall into the stubborn emptiness.
Attain the Prajna with great wisdom is the best way to learn tolerance. After you are enlightened, you no longer need to tolerate, as you don㦙 have temper or anger. You don㦙 have ignorance and you can dissolve bad thoughts.
